Christmas Exodus · 12:31am Dec 20th, 2011

SO!

Here I am, back home for the holidays! Well... not exactly.
The U.S. army has given me 2 weeks of Exodus during christmas time so that soldiers in BCT (Basic Combat Training) and AIT (where we get out training for our actual job) can go home and spend time with their families.

So no, I'm not technically "back" yet. After this, I will be gone for 2 months instead of 1 to finish up training. And because I'm currently on leave now, I won't have leave when I'm done BCT. I'll only have 2 days (a weekend) out of BCT before I go to AIT for however long they need me to be in there. My MOS (my primary job) is 13-D. That's an artillery guy who essentailly finds the target location on a map, plots it on a computer, and then transmits it to the guys who actually fire the gun. This is gonna be about another 9 weeks, so almost 3 more months. However, I've been getting a lot of feedback that AIT is a lot like college, just more militarized, so I should have my Laptop with me to get on from time to time (as well as high speed internet! Woohoo!)

Now about where I am now...
If you're a Texas Brony, specifially in Sherman or Denison Texas, that's where I am. I'm staying at my aunt's house, and the internet here is... horrible, to put it nicely.
I cannot watch youtube videos, download music, or anything like that because they do have a bandwith limit per month. They get their internet from sattelite too, because they're on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Not much else they can do...
The internet is so slow, that 95% of the time web pages will simply not load, so it may take me a couple hours (or days) to reply to messages.
Time in chatrooms will be very limited. My main goal is to write write write as much as I can before I go back to BCT for 2 more months. So sorry, but I won't be able to talk much. That being said, I will still be checking on all comments and messages as much as possible!
During my time in BCT, I have dedicated most of my freetime into writing outlines and storyboards for my next big story, Tale of the Nether Drake. It's going to be epic, I can assure you that. I hope to finish part 1 before I go back (Part 1 consists of the first 10 chapters), and then I will start on the notes for part 2 and part 3. The entire story will be somewhere around 30-35 chapters, so yes, very very long. I hope I can make the chapters long as well, for it will be as epic as I can make it!

Well, now I'm going to spend the next hour or so refreshing my page to see if I can get my blog open for me to copy and paste this message I just typedup on wordpad. Wish me luck!

Actually I'm only a moderator in the chatroom, not the site. But thanks~ <3

Good to see you again Streak, even of its only for a short while. I look forward to your new stories and chapters, and I hope your job in the military is exciting, and that you have some spare one to write. Also, I know how frustrating not having fast Internet can be, hard to live without it these days.

Best of luck!

First, nice to hear from you again. Also glad to hear your doing fine and can't wait to read your new stories.

Augh that doesn't sound like a very good way to spend not being in Basic. :raritydespair:

Hope you have a good Christmas anyway.

Hi Streak!
Thanks for the new Lunaughty chapter! Good to have you back, even if it's just a short time!

13D? I'm 13F, we're like family in that respect you and I. Artillery Hooah:flutterrage:! Just please, if we're down range at any point and you happen to be the guy taking the grid coordinates I send you, do not screw up that information. Anyhow how I'm off to read some Lunaughty. Give em hell in basic HOOAH!
