    My Journey

So I've finally set aside the time to sit down and properly write out a blog post for you all who are still around (the one I promised in my last post seven months ago :twilightsheepish: ). I want to tell you all about where I've been, what I've been up to, and share my journey with you guys. You were all around for some of the best times, and I felt it's only right to open back up again and

    Well Well Well...

Holy hell, that's a lot of notifications to look through! I suppose that's what happens when you disappear for... *checks watch* three years. Huh... I suppose it's been a while, huh? It would be shockingly rude and unprofessional if I was to just suddenly turn up again out of the blue, wouldn't it? Yeah, I guess it would...

    A Soldier's Memoirs Spoilers

For anyone who read my last blog and doesn't want to wait around for me to maybe finish the Soldier's Memoirs series, I do have the entire plot mapped and outlined. If you would like some closure, some answers, or just a glimpse into what awaits, send me a private message with the title: Will the Sky Fall? and any questions or comments you might have. I'll be happy to provide

    I'm Sorry

Over the past week or two, I've gotten messages from several of you guys asking if I was okay, if everything was all right, and just wanting to check in on me in general. I wanted you all to know that I was really touched by your concerns, and that I am just fine, but it also made me feel guilty. I'm sure you can guess why... I haven't written any new material for well over a year. I haven't been

Dusk is a terrible, awful, no good, very bad pony...

I have apologies to make to all of you. It's been close to six months since I had any activity here on the site, and even less for my friends outside of FiMFiction. I feel I owe you all an explanation and my deepest, heartfelt sorries. I am still alive, if just barely by now. These last few months, I sort of bit off more than I could chew with life. I took eighteen college credit hours in an

Conclusions and Suggestions · 7:11am Feb 18th, 2014

So a while back I posted a blog saying how Overture was a slow going work in progress. Well, as of tonight, I am pleased to announce to you waiting on it that the rough manuscript is officially finished. It is being proofed by me right now and will soon be handed off to my (much more) competent proofreader. There should be a large wave of updates coming within the next week or so. Boy, it was a rough ride for me to write at the end there. So much messy emotion, so many revelations, and an ending that will probably leave your adrenaline pumping. I'm hoping that'll come through in the reading and have you all clawing at your seats. Aren't I just a lovely kind of human being? But ti does mean I can start putting my plans for the next big Skyfall story into a solid form in the near-future.

Oh, and speaking of future stories, look at what I spy... Did anyone else happen to check my Upcoming Story box lately?

Yep. Filli Vanilli's lesson came out at a perfect time for me. Suck it up, do what you love, and face your fears head on. I'm working with my wonderful team of PRs to get this out fairly soon. You know, I'm actually really looking forward to this. It'll be a dip into a brand new pool; a breath of fresh air from me after back-to-back Skyfall. I'm keeping it very spoiler free (save for the thumbnail there) until it gets closer to its proper release date. Then I'll let you all of you following me to go read the description as a teaser before releasing it to the public.

On a final note, I've been getting a few requests from friends and followers to do a livestream wherein I write my roughs for a story and let everyone sort of watch my process, see me at work, maybe get some insider info and spoilers, and just generally hang out to chat and ask questions and stuff. Now, I've never heard of it before now, but after doing some digging, it seems a few people actually do this. So I'll leave it up to you guys. Would this be something you'd be interested in? You can answer below or, if you prefer to remain anonymous, drop a quick one-click response in the poll below.

Live Stream Poll

I think that's it for tonight, folks. I'm off to go finish this chapter for Night's Twilight and head off to bed for some sweet, sweet pony dreams.

With friendship and magic (and what the hell does 'Filli Vanilli' mean anyway?),

I actually wasn't expecting this to happen but now I am excited that it is!

Is that Ron Paul?

Anyway, I will definitely be checking this out and a time for the live-stream would be awesome.

I hope work doesn't make me miss it.

Silver out!

Filli Vanilli is a play on Milli Vanilli. A pop group from the 80's-90's, it was eventually found out that they didn't sing, and were always lip syncing.

I'd cast a vote for a live-stream; reading can only take one so far when it comes to learning about writing. Also, I'd suggest recording it at the same time. :pinkiehappy:

I vote yes for the live stream.

1848423 Actually if I recall correctly, it was two of their members who were always lip syncing.

1848841

It was only the two guys. There were three people who actually sang for them, but the on stage duo was only the two guys. One committed suicide, if I recall.

And dammit, if you don't give me the next chapter of Overture soon, imma slap-a-hoe.

1848899 Oh. :twilightblush: I should have paid more attention to that Wikipedia article I read.

And the sad thing is that most pop artists these days lip sync on stage, mostly because they can't do their energetic dance moves and still sing. Bunch of wussies, I say.

If a man over the age of fifty can run around like that and hit that range, they have no excuse.

I never knew! And now I do. And knowledge is power! And speaking of power, I shall have the next chapter of Overture and most of the story to you shortly, Drill Sergeant! Actually, I have no idea how that relates to power... Just go with it. :twilightsheepish:

Eat more burritos. You will feel beter

Burritos are Mexico's gift to the world. Also, how've you been, mate? It seems like I haven't seen you around in an age! :pinkiehappy:

1854182 been training and training and training. just got done with pre deployment leave so il be out the door in less than 2 weeks. cant give out dates of course. Sorry I haven't been talkative but I have just been so tired at times. Atleast Jake is around for you to talk to. I haven't chatted with him in ages either. Probably the reason I haven't been talkative is I haven't read your newest story yet. was waiting for new chapters to come out before I got started on it but then the intensity of pre deployment work up took over and just never got around to it. Il start reading it before I leave though.

1854365
Ah, I getcha, mate. Duty calls and all that banner waving. You just do your thing; I'll be here as always, doing what I love whenever you're around. Hopefully I should have a few more chapters out very soon before you leave. Do you know if you'll be able to get on while you're deployed, or is it all up in the air and we'll have to wait and see?

1854431 For atleast the beginning of the deployment I will be in a place where I will probably not have as many luxuries. Will be on stand by for a number of possible real missions in the area till the DOD deem the area safe enough not to need us. then I should be going to spain to stand by for more regional response missions. Spain should be pretty chill as long as nothing comes up. Should be able to catch up on episodes and stories in spain. but since I think we are staying on an AFB in the first location it I may have no trouble at all. the air force always has nice things for us to use or borrow....permanently

1854528
Well, I know we'll all be waiting here for you, my friend. If I don't get a chance to talk to you again before you leave, you look after yourself and your comrades and all that good stuff. Have fun, enjoy the sights, and do try to play nice. I know you Marines are the rough and tumble kind of bunch, which is good, considering you're our hard-hitter shock troops. Be looking out for you, mate.

I guess I'd say I'd vote for the live stream thing.
I'm super excited to see your new stuff, and I'm sure it's gonna be awesome.
I've only been able to do a little writing so I'm looking forward to seeing what you have.
