    Elder Scrolls Online

Hurray for Skyrim Elder Scrolls Online!

So yeah, I'm having fun with it so far, but I'm not entirely certain it's worth 60$ + a monthly subscription. I can't recommend it, but if anyone already has it, I'd love to play with you. My gamer tag is Terrahex

    March State of the Author

Here we are at the end of the month. I suppose that means it's time to address all (two) of the people who care.

    Attack on Titan

    (No Spoilers)
So I finally got around to finishing Attack on Titan. I've been meaning to for months, but as much as I love it, it's definitely not something that you watch when you want to have a good time.

    February State of Affairs

Oh boy. another one of these posts, though now that I've titled it by month, I might just make this a monthly thing. it would certainly give me a reason to stop deleting these when they become irrelevant. a timeline of sorts.

Anyway, since I know not everyone cares about the intricacies of my life, important things will be bolded.

    Prologue scraps

Because it started to get off topic, I was forced to cut off the latter half of my prologue for The Monster that is Me. I couldn't bring myself to delete it since it's still the way that I picture the story going after Midnight meets Greyscale. However, it detracted from where the story was going way too much for me to put it anywhere in the story itself.

Oh boy. another one of these posts, though now that I've titled it by month, I might just make this a monthly thing. it would certainly give me a reason to stop deleting these when they become irrelevant. a timeline of sorts.

Anyway, since I know not everyone cares about the intricacies of my life, important things will be bolded.

First of all, work on chapter 12 of the Monster that is Me is practically non-existent at this time. I really didn't expect the new semester of college to kick my ass so hard. I scheduled all my classes in the afternoon thinking that it would be awesome to sleep in every day, but I always used to write for hours after class and now that isn't always possible. When I do sit down to actually write chap 12, I end up in an internal argument over how to even start the thing. I don't even know where to start, and the prospect of skipping parts of it and having Midnight recap it for the reader's sake is getting scarily more appealing. I'm going to shoot for chapter 12 being out on the 28th and spend the remaining ten days until the one year anniversary of the fic doing something special (that's not me being vague. I literally have no idea what I'm going to do. please, somebody, anybody, leave a suggestion in the comments)

As for Equestrian Ninja, it's still on hold until the current story arc of tMtiM is resolved. I haven't exactly untangled the snarl that has become the plot of EqN, but I'll get to it eventually.

Other things that I've been thinking about a lot lately have been a crossover between MLP and the PSVita game Soul Sacrifice. If you haven't heard of it, and I honestly don't blame you if you haven't, it's decidedly darker than MLP. It involves using progressively more powerful spells to kill monsters then either sacrificing them to gain more power or saving them to gain defense. It's an infuriating time sink, and, while far (very far) from perfect, I've never played another game that so perfectly captures the feel of being a powerful sorcerer. I doubt I'm actually going to write any story down, but I've got a few dynamic characters and resolved several of the mythological problems of hosting the two worlds in the same universe, and I'd write it in a way that didn't require previous knowledge of the game to enjoy the story.

That's about it for this month. time to get writing, but I doubt that anything good will come of it. I think I'm just going to skip the opening and write the middle first and see how that goes.

A one year anniversary for the fic? :raritystarry: How about we have Midnight's birthday?

It's just another thing to her and Midnight doesn't really treat the occasion as a big deal (maybe a little talk with Twilight about it). She's never 'celebrated' it the traditional way, with friends and family, but then Pinkie catches wind of it. :pinkiegasp: A confrontation and a promise to throw the biggest bash she's ever had follows afterwards. Midnight doesn't really look forward to it though, in fact she may even be a little nervous, if this party is anything like her normal parties. She spends the day searching for her friends (her friends are avoiding her because they're getting gifts for the party. If ever confronted they give short respones and a need to be somewhere else) and preparing herself for it (since she can't really spend any time with her friends, maybe she goes and sees the other changelings for some advice?), as she expects the worst, only to find it's a small party, and all of her close friends are there. Surprised at how small the party is, Pinkie explains that she knows how she feels around large crowds, so she accommodated her with a smaller party. Twilight also explains it's also a huge thank you for all that Midnight's done for her. Rounds of shared feelings are expressed from everypony at the party. Heartfelt and truly thankful for her friends, for setting it up and making her feel even more welcome, she jumps right on in.

Just an idea I had, real basic description of it but, I think, sums it up nicely.

I don't often ask this seriously, but are you reading my mind? I was thinking of the exact same thing, but I dismissed it on the grounds of it being too predictable. I guess since two people actually thought of it, it was a bit predictable ;-_-

Also, love the avatar. stay tuned for the next Doctor Who crossover portion :D (haven't exactly worked the kinks out of that one though, so no promises)

1832705 Whoopsies :twilightsheepish: Well I'd like to call it "great minds think alike" but I can work with predictable. :rainbowwild: Ah well, it was worth the shot; and good luck with the new semester schedule, God knows they can make or break your free time. :pinkiesick:

Well, I just came across this post, and even though it may be a wee bit too late, I have actually started on a 'Soul Sacrifice' inspired story.
