I've been trying to release a chapter a month, but the next chapter is going to be later than usual. I'm going to be writing some non-pony stuff for a short story competition.

This is basically how I wish I wrote. While reading my stories, picture them written like this. Great blend of subtle humor and seriousness.

Oh Hell No!
The story does not know the meaning of subtlety, but it's great. It's probably the funniest thing I have read in a while. Read it.
