Not back as quickly as I had hoped

My apologies for not posting a blog sooner. A lot has happened in the past two months. I didn't have a lot of time to go into details with my last blog. But I had been in the process of moving to a new home and I moved in mid July. Sadly, it was anything but smooth. I won't bore you with the details, but long story short, I'm moved and am in the ongoing process of unpacking and settling.

So many crazy things have been happening, even before my last check in around Mid-October. If I told you everything that was going on, you'd think I was exaggerating or something. Salutations, my friends! ^^

It's been a little while since I last checked in. So, I thought I'd see how all of you are doing. Despite the endless challenges this year has brought. Time still seems to be joined with wings. My days currently consist of work, writing and dealing with challenges all the same. I won't bore you with the details as I'd rather bring you tidings of joy rather than those of sorrow. Besides,

Still Going Good! · 4:50pm Feb 11th, 2014

I'm so sorry to have to try your patience again, my friends. It must have been all that overtime I worked coupled with the fact that my part of the US is still having one of the coldest winters we've had in quite a few years.

Currently I'm about half way with the final edit. I hope you can hang in there for one more day maybe two. I've just been feeling a little sluggish and I really really want this to be good when I post it. This is a crucial chapter to building this story and I just want to make sure it's been given the same level of care my other stories have gotten. But this update is coming, you can count on that. Thankfully, I know many of you keep telling me to take my time and I'll always be grateful for that. All I can say is that if you've enjoyed "Then There Was You" so far, it's gets even better! So just bear with me a little longer and you'll have around 12,600 words to enjoy! :raritywink:

Take care, my friends and never forget how much your continued support always means to me! I couldn't ask for a better group of followers or friends!

Enjoy a cute picture of Luna working on her Astronomy!

I live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and this is the worst winter that's been experienced in over 30 years.

Superb pic as always!

I feel like I have said this somewhere else before but take all the time you need. You can't rush perfection.

Also if you don't mind me asking I would like to know how cold it is in The U.S now compared to typical winter? I have read from newspapers that the winter in there is coldest in a long time but that really doesn't tell that much. Of course I could Google the answer but where is the fun in that. :twilightsheepish:

Our winter here in Chicago has benn ridiculousy cold this year as well

Yeah here in NC it's like it's going to be the storm of the century the way the weather people are talking. Coldest Carolina winter ever. Ugh!
That and I'm considering a major change in career choices for my life: from science to law enforcement.
So overall it's pretty tough on my end too.

I'm Canadian, and you're all adorable :pinkiehappy:

You still have my unending thanks, my friend. And I'm glad to hear everything went well with that thing I helped you with.

I'm also looking forward to the update. I just felt a bit sluggish yesterday when I was working on editing chapter 3 of Jeanne's story.

1823488
Oh, I do bundle up. I wear my heavy winter coat I nicknamed "The Fortress", whenever I got out into the cold. It's done a good job keeping me warm over the years. :twilightsheepish: That's an adorable pic of Derby, BTW. :derpytongue2:

It's been about 5 years or so since Pennsylvania has seen a winter this cold. I remember one winter was so cold that diesel fuel was turning to jelly inside the tanks of tractor trailers and holding them up on the highways. That's why they had to change an additive they put in the fuel. That was a bad winter all around.

1823585
Don't worry, I'll be sure to take all the time I need. I know this will be a good update once it's ready. I'm thankful you're all so patient. That's why I'm so grateful to all of your awesome, friends, fans and followers! :scootangel::yay::raritystarry: If I had to venture a guess, a typical winter, for my area of the US anyway, the temps range from the upper 20s to mid 30s depending on the weather systems, and the lows would range from mid 20s to the teens in many cases. But February is typically the worst month for snowfall in my area. We've had snow falling since November and a good bit in December, if my memory is correct.

I keep telling all my friends at work that I'm ready for spring and summer. Even though the heat of summer can be a drag, at least the humidity doesn't fall from the sky and bury my car in the driveway and then need shoveling. :rainbowlaugh: Though winter does have it's perks. I have to admit, the snow covering everything does look nice. And when I don't have to drive anywhere, it can be fun to watch the snow falling. Oh, and cold weather is good for cuddling. Just imagine cuddling with one of the ponies on a cold night by a roaring fire. :scootangel:

We're all in for a cold one this winter, at least that's what it seems. But, I know we'll all pull through. :rainbowdetermined2: As for your career change, I wish you luck with that. I hope you find law enforcement to be a rewarding challenge.

1825513
I never expected this trend in the comments. :rainbowlaugh: I mainly was noting the cold of this winter to explain why I was feeling so sluggish and tired and why my update was going to be delayed a little longer. :pinkiehappy: But I can only imagine how cold it gets in Canada. Though, did I hear right that it sometimes gets warmer in Canada when it's super cold in the US? I forget where I heard someone mention that. :derpyderp2:

1825928
Thanks for the encouragement man!
In the meantime I'm trying my best to hibernate out the cold!

What's a little more time? For a good story, I'm prepared to wait years.

1825928 10 below out right now. Yeah I could use a cuddle with a pony. :pinkiehappy:

I'd sure like some of that cold where I am in the Great Southern Land i.e. Australia at this moment. :scootangel:

1823488 Even Australia, then? 'Cause I live there and it's summer so that would make it hot, wouldn't you say? :ajbemused:

1823585 You get a sense of accomplishment from Google. :rainbowdetermined2:

1825928 I wouldn't have the foggiest clue, mate :derpytongue2: All I can say is last night I was standing out on my patio having a smoke at drop 30 with windchill, and all I had on were panama bottoms haha :rainbowwild:

1825928

Aww thanks for the compliment and thanks for the answer!

That is one crazy change in the weather I say. I hope you guys pull through it. Just keep thinking summer and that the winter is over soon.:pinkiehappy:
The weather has been acting strange in Europe (In UK and France mostly) and here in Finland this is one of the warmest winters I can remember. Where I live the current temperature is about 32 when it should be closer to 5 or -4.

1826241

Well I don't know about that. Usually when I Google something really "important" from the Internet I tend to forget everything almost instantly, but when I ask something I usually remember everything. Maybe there is something wrong with my head. :twilightblush:

1826241
It's just what everyone has been saying. I've seen countless blogs and posts and chat messages commenting about how cold it is in <blank>. Again, 'cold weather' to some people are summer to others.

1826653 Whatever. :ajbemused:

1826721 But not everyone in the world is going to experience the exact same season, so it ends up pointless to be saying "Everyone seems to be having cold weather it seems." since one side of the world will always be facing away from the sun and thus will be colder than the side that IS facing it. :facehoof:
