JackobolTrades

Jack of all trades, master of none. I've got too many ideas and not enough time, so expect few updates on a bunch of stories.

The Moment Nopony was Waiting For

So I promised you all story chapters. I'm a bit late on that mark, but that's because I'm slow in finding editors. So I posted the prologue for Bringing Song to the Silenced for you all, edited only by myself. I also posted a short story, the Lay of Thrum, a story of love and loss (of lucky horseshoes) based on the Lay of Thrym, a Norse poem. Look for those after they've been approved!

    Apologies and Checkers

Sorry to all of my readers for such a long absence. The combinations of a job, school, and theatre production made for poor writing conditions. The situation is getting marginally better, but I'm afraid I've lost my notes on As It Should Be. I've decided that I'll just write the final chapter, which is what I've wanted to work on since the beginning, and post that. I might add the intervening

    Idea Dump Month

So somepony who watches me might notice an influx of new stories recently. They might worry that I've given up on As It Should Be. Those people don't have to fear, I will still endeavor to update As It Should Be, but I'm just hashing out a bunch of story ideas that are bouncing around in my head for now. I've got too many ideas to adequately focus on just one, so I'm just popping them out now so

Back into the Swing of Things

Hwlrglfrtdn I finally made my way through a set of writer's block, so you should be seeing a new chapter of As it Should Be soon. 'But Jack," you may cry at your computer screen. 'What was so vexing that took two weeks to get over?' Well, that comes down to a poor foresight choice on my part. I was having trouble coming up with a plausible reason for the first of a string of antagonists to begin

I was having trouble coming up with a plausible reason for the first of a string of antagonists to begin antagonizing. It was, originally, a bad guy with ego issues. I finally realized, why did it have to be a bad guy? The following chain of thoughts ran its course and I decided that gender swapping the first antagonist would not only bring some much needed motivation into the plot, but also wouldn't change the story's overarching plot in the long run.
So I'm happy that I can write a semi-plausible villain, and you're happy that you get a new chapter.
Everypony wins!

Now...if only there was some kind of humor involved with this antagonist...
