    Generic Blog Title

Figured I should write a thing about recent chapter updates. Yep I have been writing on Bootlegging again, I don't make any guarantees on how often I'll be writing new chapters but I'll try to finish it.

    Okay so...

Okay, so I was browsing around my stories and I noticed something in the groups on my stories they have been added to. Apparently, some of my stories ended up on "Goodreads" and I have no idea how that even happen. Is this just something that happens or did someone go in an add them?

Thanks :twilightsheepish: Little disappointed it was only around 800 to 900 words though.

1802295 I shoot for a consistant 4000 words minimum usually. Makes things a bit difficult though.

1802298 Yea, I normally aim for 1000 to 1400 myself.

1802299 That would be easier, but too short for some of the things I do.

1802303 Yea, I understand that. I try to stay over 1000 at least, I do have chapters that run up towards the 2000 words I think some of my earlier stuff are upwards of 3000.

1802306 Yeah. That's more my speed.

1802307 I'm just happy if I stay above 1000 words though. :twilightsheepish: Mostly set that limit for The Return of Mare Do Well. Which has a bunch of chapters, they are just mostly around 1000 to 1200 words each

1802312 Yeah. those would be nice limits, but in my stories the chapters would be lacking if I did that.

1802315
Yea, I have trouble with detail anyways so it works for me.

1802317 I have trouble with amazingly detailed descriptions and an OCD problem where I have to avoid using the same word twice in a row when saying something synonymous with "Said"

1802319 Yea. I've been trying to avoid repeating said all the time. :facehoof:

1802321 Yeah, but when I avoid it too much, it becomes repetitively non-repetitive, if that makes any sense.

1802323
I understand, when I first started working with alternates to "said" I went overboard. But I settled down and found a decent balance. I still used 'said' probably more than I should but I do mix it up with other words as well.

1802328
Ya, I have improved alot since my first story. I've gotten a lot of good feedback and criticism that helped me out. I still screw up my tenses, between past and present though.

1802330 That happens to a lot of people.

1802332 Yea, I'm working on improving that. But I've done it for so long not sure if I can kick that habit. I have noticed I am catching myself more when I make common mistakes like Then and Than, where and were, as well as there, and their.

1802335 Yeah, I catch a lot of my mistakes, but only because it takes me so long to finish a chapter that I read it about 80 times before I'm done...

1802338
If I write, I'm pretty quick. I let Word 2010 do it's thing then I scan it over myself once or twice before publishing. Then I correct any mistakes readers point out. :twilightblush:

Those two Chapters on Noi for the RP, I had done in like and 30 minutes to an hour each.

1802344 sounds like what I do, minus the writers block.

1802345 Yea... writers block kicks my backside hard when it hits. :fluttershysad: Reason I have 14 different stories. Writing something new sometimes gets me focused on old stuff.

1802346 Yeah, I did that once, and every story got writers block.

1802350
That is where I am now, :twilightsheepish: Plus the fluff RPs keep me busy. Not that I am complaining, I just have a hard time splitting my focus.

1802355 Course there are downtimes I probably COULD do some writing. :duck: Then I'm just lazy.

1802361 (Hehe yea)
