News From the Equestrian Front

As some of you know, or may not, I sent Nightmares into Equestria Daily more than a month ago. Some people complain about that wait, but honestly, I am not hinging my story's popularity on EqD. Anyway, I got my reply, and I was rejected but was not given a strike. Mr. Prereader actually pointed out only TWO errors in the entire chapter. One of them involves using an email dash instead of a comma, and that really isn't an error. Either way, this is a fantastic sign! I might get into EqD on my second try. But I need to go and fix some continuity errors and style problems on my second chapter for it to have a chance. I haven't done anything with my second chapter, and I got a non-strike rejection because he never read my second chapter.

So, be happy! I know I am. I will be doing extensive work on my second chapter to get it ready, so I'll let you all know whether it is worth reading back over or not. So far, I am thinking it will be fine, but it really depends. Anyway, I'm off!

I might actually get work done on chapter three with this revelation.

I would've told them to suck my dick and merrily walked away. This is why I have no respect for the seemingly still elitist pricks over on EqD. Then again, don't have much respect for this fandom overall, so hey.

A rejection without a strike from EqD usually means that they've already determined they will accept the story but want some small things fixed first.

I'm at the point where my story isn't gaining additional strikes either. My pre-reader really really wants to feature it but there were a few teeny tiny things I had to fix. Now waiting on my third reply, BUT WAIT!
Even if it can't get its own feature, it's still eligible to skip the process whenever I want and just get in as a sequel update. So I've been pretty much guaranteed to have it accepted—one way or another.
