A Paragon of Peace Chapter 4 Progress · 6:10am Jan 2nd, 2014
I would first like to wish everyone a very Happy New Years. May 2014 be as good to you as I hope it will be for me.
Now on to the matter on hand.
I am very happy with the reception that A Paragon of Peace has received thus far. The fact that the only complaints I have received thus far have been a want of more chapters is an accomplishment that has truly filled me with joy.
That being said, I do agree that the lack of update is unacceptable. I am by my nature a very slow and methodical writer, taking time to ensure that every detail is rightly described and placed perfectly before moving on ( A very Martin-esque quality of mine, unfortunately). This is not an excuse for my lack of work, only an acknowledgement of its existence. Life has also gotten in the way in the form of my website, school, and personal issues and developments. But these to are not excuses either. I am a writer, an entertainer, and an artist and the lack of work from me is inexcusable.
Above is a layout and small sneak peek at my upcoming chapter. I am about half-way done with Chapter 4, entitled A Kindness Owed. This chapter has quite frankly been and continues to be a pain in my flank. It is vitally important that this chapter be right. In many ways, it is the true start to the narrative. If I keep at it and continue diligently, I can (hopefully) have it out in a few weeks. The following chapters should not take nearly as long to make (though I do remember saying that about this chapter as well). I just cannot seem to get this one just right. I've had about twelve rewrites in the last few months alone, it is honestly that bad.
But enough of my troubles. I wish you all a wonderful 2014 and hope you all continue to enjoy The Equestrian Cycle.
Ah, beginnings, truly the most perilous part of writing a story... aside from the climax and the ending. Especially endings. Yeesh...
But it's good to see that you're making progress, even with the rewrites! And once you get going, it should be easier to get future chapters done as you mold your story into shape.
Anyways, I should get back to trying to get my story figured out.
