I travel space and time, searching for perfection, for safety, and for purpose. I may never find it, and I may get lost, but the important part is the journey, not the destination. Enjoy it or remiss.

    It's Been a While

I don't think I have really touched this site in a while. I keep getting notifications for replies to my comments on mainly the Austraeoh series, but I . . . well, I still wonder about this place, about everyone still here and how everyone is doing, in their literary pursuits and their personal lives, assuming we got to know each other well enough.

    6 Years

I . . . I honestly don't have much to say for this one. There aren't very many things I can say I've done for six years. Working? Nope, I started in 2013. I played percussion for seven years. I've played on Xbox Live for seven years, almost 8. I've been on YouTube Since 2009. Meh, that's whatever, I guess.

    Power At Last!

Well, it's been an entire month without power. Somehow, someway, I have been without any connection to the outside world for that long, and it's been hard. 0/10, do not recommend. :rainbowwild:

    Foalcon Fiasco Followup

So I'm done with my commenting on the newest FiMFic Drama Showcase, and I thought I would give some after thoughts and maybe elaborate my feelings on the subject in a less emotional way. Needless to say, I have gotten a little angry with how things have progressed in terms of discussion, and I've reached my limit. I'm letting it go, but here's what I have to say on the matter to end this one for

    Little Witch Academia

I find it funny that I am making this post as I am about to watch the last two episodes of Little Witch Academia, and I still haven't watched the season finale of MLP. Don't spoil anything for me! :rainbowwild: But, yeah, I am basically ass backwards right now.

Hello, everybody! I've been rather silent for the past few days, haven't I? Well, sorry about that. As you can imagine, finals are a bitch. A real giant bitch. And then you add in work (I'll be working over the Christmas vacation), and you get a real fun time.

BUT NO WORRIES! I have survived the first round. I told them the reasons why Americans had the upper hand in the Revolutionary War. I fell short, unfortunately, in describing the political, social, and economical effects of Southern Reconstruction. I blame the fact that I didn't study that part of history, mainly because there were more pressing issues, like not studying anything. I then topped it off by finding theta in sin Θ = √2/2 and other assorted bullshit (like factoring polynomials, graphing sin, cos, and tan functions, and creating logistic functions when given the limit, initial value, and a specific point it must cross).

Overall, I think I destroyed the math test. APUSH . . . well, the second essay was shit, the multiple choice was over a chapter in the text book that I didn't read, and I had problems focussing. We'll see how well my grade is.

Anyway, tomorrow is Biology, and then Friday is English and Health. After that, I am free to start writing. This is also the point that I tell you guys that I do have plans on updating Nightmares before the year ends. XD I will also be done with my contest story by then, hopefully. So, don't say that the story is dead yet! I promise you, it isn't.

Anyway, that's all I have. See you guys starside!

Integration is cool :moustache:

Oh, yeah.

I feel ya on the finals stuff. I'm majoring in Chemistry atm.

So much math.:fluttershyouch:

1622798
Yeah, I remember taking Chemistry. Just fuck oxidation-reduction reactions. T_T

1622850

Well, the math part sucks. But chemical reactions are my version of pillow talk.

Yes, talk your sexy formulas to me textbook. Tell me of our impending covalent bonding.

1622784 u wot m8

1622850 Lel we were doing oxidation numbers in le Chemistry 12 today :moustache:

u wot m8

u havin' a giggle m8

Lel we were doing oxidation numbers in le Chemistry 12 today :moustache:

Must have sucked. lel

1622866
Whoa now, you getting a little too frisky with that there textbook.

1622896 Nah, it's very easy. Just basic algebra :moustache:

1622798>>1622866 Butt the math is the best part! :rainbowhuh:

1622903
Ahh, I see. Well, I suppose it is time to go blow shit up with these reactions.

I heard Francium and water is the best mix.

1622903

Sorry bud, but the math'll always take second fiddle to that Periodic Table. *salutes*

1622907

Or Sodium in the fish tank. :rainbowkiss:

1622994
Actually, I'm just going to make some Bose-Einstein condensate. I can do so much awesome shit with that.

1623038

My friend, I think we're stepping out of Chemistry and into the field of quantum physics here. :derpyderp2:

1623048
Naw, that would be if were were trying to make a quantum tunneling-resistant transistor inside of a computer.

1623068

Okay, you're just pulling things off of Google now aren't you? :rainbowlaugh:

1623074
Oh, no, I actually know quite a bit about that. XD I found out about this through a friend who was talking to me about Moore's Law, which states that there is a limit to processing power due to the limit of size of transistors. This is actually a major problem, as America is basically run on being able to continually buy more and more advanced electronics. Moore's Law ends around 2015, which is around the time we either invent a new way of building transistors or collapse.

1623089

Ahh.

(An understatement, I realize.)

Stole that picture from me!

1623095
It is actually a very interesting read, both Moore's Law and quantum tunneling. The basic idea of quantum tunneling is that it is a phenomena where a particle (in the case of computers, an electron) literally tunnels through a wall that it generally would not be able to surmount. This is used in electronics through tunnel diodes, which are placed in between anodes and cathodes. This allows for very fast processing. The connection between tunnel diodes and Moore's Law is that you can only build these transistors with these tunnel diodes so small, and you can only place so many in one motherboard. So, yeah. Interesting stuff.

Yes, I do something fruitful outside of the fandom. XP

1623104
Stolen? Why, I am hurt you would make such an allegation!

1623106

That actually does sound pretty interesting! I have to admit, I didn't foresee using quantum mechanics in something as commonplace as transistor construction, but it sounds like it would be neat to see!

And I don't doubt it. :ajsmug:

Just wondering, what level of education are you in and what year of it?
