The Site Changes · 4:53am Dec 16th, 2013
I like a lot of the site's changes so far. They look nice, the buttons are cleaner, and I think the site looks overall more professional. That being said, I'd like to take a minute to observe the "fixed" blog tagging system or whatever they want to call it.
It's great that us authors can now rest assured that our update-related blog posts can reach their intended audiences, and not just the followers. One of my biggest issues with that is why it took the mods so long to make it work.
And we get to the thing that bothers me most. Some of these authors are putting out blog posts and tagging all of their stories, not just the ones that the poet is concerned with. It's annoying to see blog posts from people I don't really care that much for except for one or two stories that they wrote.
In other news, I have been doing a lot of work on Ungrounded and the next chapter. The rest of the arc is mapped out for the most part, and all that's left to do is write it. I'm trying hard to make this run smoothly, and some of the smaller details that were mentioned in earlier chapters might come into play later. I'm getting better at that, by the way; putting in every little detail and letting them come into play later.
Also in other news, Reversal of Fortune is about to get serious. And I have to say that Ryan is probably the most-thought-out character I've ever written. I've got his personality mapped out to the smallest thoughts that can run through his head. And to those who complained that he isn't feeling enough of the impact of the events that occurred in The Divide, don't worry. There will be discussion about that in the story later.
Oh ho ho ho, the things I have planned for this story! I'm really excited to see this play out, and I'm the one writing it! Right now I'm talking with a friend about the direction that I want to take Fortune, and I hope he, and the rest of you, will like it.
'Til the next chapter,
~Sandcroft
