November Update (Post-Sp00ky Edition) · 11:32pm Nov 2nd, 2016
So I'm gonna level with you here, I've stalled a bit on progress. I've got a couple other ideas bouncing around in my head right now, and I don't have any time to devote to anything. Fast version of this update is that I'm getting a lot closer to finishing my little (read: big) project, and I'm considering where to go after it's all done. If you'd like to brave some of my ramblings, check out the post after the break.
So what little time I've made to work on things has been devoted to my project, which is nearing completion with about three full chapters left to write. I've reached a grand total of 37,764 words now, and it should probably break 50,000 when I've polished up the draft chapters and finished the remaining three.
If you've been keeping up with my collaborator, Coltsguy and his series Cause and Effect, then I'm sure you noticed that I just did some work with him on the latest chapter of his story, Cause, Effect, and Consequences. I'll give out some more information regarding that later on.
I can say with certainty that I will eventually finish what I started here. I've been at it too long not to. After that, who knows? I've got some minor concepts that have stuck with me for a while now:
-a grand adventure fic styled after The Substitute Demon
-a spinoff of Princess Celestia is in your bed
-the rewrite of my old story Fact, Not Fiction that's been re-titled Pen and Sword
-a dark one-shot based on an idea Manes gave me while I worked as his editor
-a short adventure story featuring Scootaloo and freerunning
-and a small concept for a clopfic.
I can't guarantee I'll get to any of these, but I will say that I'm strongly leaning towards Pen and Sword right now. It captured my interest way back a year or two ago, when it was released as Fact, Not Fiction, and I still want to make it the story I had intended it to be.
