August (But Really September) Update · 8:41am Aug 30th, 2016
Yeah I skipped out on a month for the update, so what? I took a vacation, sue me.
I don't really have much to say this time though. Most of my attention in terms of writing is being divided between that project that I'm still not going to tell you guys about yet and a completely homebrew campaign for Dungeons and Dragons. I will say, however, that what I'm writing is developing very nicely, and I'm eagerly anticipating the conclusion. Yes, that statement applies to both.
In the last post I mentioned that I'll have an author's notes at the end of the story. I've been doing some thinking on the subject and decided that what I have to say about it is far longer than I can justify putting in a blog post like I did for Starlight. There will be a lengthy chapter posted maybe a week after the epilogue to... explain. And there's a lot to explain, believe me. I've been feeling very introspective these days, and I've found my thoughts wandering around that story and what I've recently been adding to it. I can safely say that not everyone will agree with the decisions that I made regarding the characters and where the story progresses, but I at least hope that I can execute it with style and grace.
I don't know when it'll be done. I don't know when I'll be ready to release it. I don't know if it'll be even worth releasing, to be frank. But it will be completed, regardless. I was raised to never do anything halfway, and to deliver on what I promise. And I do promise that what I'm working on now will see the light of day eventually. I've been pouring all my effort into making it what I want to make it, writing not just for an audience but for me as well, which is something that I've long struggled with since beginning my career on this site 4 years ago today. So happy birthday, Sandcroft, may you deliver well on your promises.
