At Long last... now you come to me with a chapter... · 6:19am Dec 3rd, 2013
Well, after a VERY long freaking time, I finally have for you chapter eight of Deja Discord. It was a lot longer, but I decided to cut it and move parts of it into chapter nine. I certainly hope that this chapter doesn't feel too short or filler-ish as a result. The title is also more to do with the next chapter, but I liked it so much I just left it on thissun'.
I've been working on it since before I even posted chapter seven (since as y'all know most of this was written last November and has been being embellished and pollished) but starting at about July things kind of took a turn for the crappy in my life... and since they kept getting worse it kind of made me feel like July was not going to end. This Never-Ending July lasted until about October, when I started to feel like things might be getting better... only to be treated to July 2: July Harder in November.
The good news is though, that my PR and I have a lovely Googledoc full of the remaining chapters of DD, and they are mostly ready to go. This past NaNoWriMo has helped me get things done story-wise.
Also I got to see Thor: the Dark World four times, and Catching Fire, and the season premiere of season four (in which Discord stole the show so much you'd think he was Loki)... so I guess November wasn't all bad.
Plus I've been taking some voice classes over skype, and apparently I'm listed on IMDb now. (Tiny little mini dream come true there. :P)
Let's hope and pray for a much better December and a super duper improved new year. I'm actually hoping for those semi-weekly updates this month that I promised were coming.
We'll just have to wait and see. I really hope you guys have had a better year than me. Although it's not exactly hard I'll bet. (I don't want to go too much into it but: 3 dead cats, 2 dead grandparents, 1 canceled convention, 1 period of nearly no internet time, 1 possible impending divorce, financial problems, and not knowing where I'll be living next year. Toss in a banjo and you got yerself a country song)
