Merchants of Hope 20 is up! · 4:11pm Oct 25th, 2013
So as I stated in my last blog, I kept the ball rolling when it came to Merchants of Hope. Seeing as 19 and 20 should have been one lump chapter, it only made sense to get them both done. And here we are! 20 chapters of Merchants of Hope, finished. You know, when I started writing this 6 months ago, I never thought that I could come this far. That's not to say I expected to abandon it, as we all start our projects before something happens before it gets derailed. I'm just so happy that I could bring you on Backlash's journey, it really means a lot to me. Even with how far I've come, the part that hurts is knowing that the story is nearly done and that the end is in sight. I'm just going to open this up now, but I want to do something spectacular for when the story is finally over, and I'd love to hear your idea's on what it should be. No limitations, I'm open to all suggestions, so don't feel like you have to hold back.
Just as yet another shout out, I really do have to thank Sawyer (Digital Ink) for his tremendously hard work in going over these chapters. He really has been there to help, and I cannot thank him enough.
Anyway, as usual, I'll post an update in a few days after I get back into working on Better Days Chapter 7. So this is an extremely exhausted me, wishing you a good read, and signing off for the day.
God, at the rate these are being published, I'll not have time to read unless I force it!

These last two chapters are going to be the exception for speed. The chapters to come will follow a normal pace, but I would like to point out that once the story is done, you won't have to worry about catching up!
A: Super crossover adventure!
B: Partysplosions!
C: What the characters do when they're not 'on camera' and acting like their usual personas in the story!
D: Director's Cut! Alternate Endings! Commentary Tracks! Frosted Flakes!
E: Butts.

In sort, I have no idea what one would do with a completed fic but share it.

D: Directors cut wouldn't so much work, seeing as I'm not leaving anything out. Alternate ending might be fun if I can think a good enough one up! (I'll highly consider that) Commentary might already be in the works, so I feel that would be a cop-out if I did it. And I am intrigued by theses 'Frosted Flakes', tell me more...
E: Butts are always fantastic! Now, would it be all the butts? Or just a few?

Oh, and I do plan on sharing it, I just would like the readers to choose something fun they'd like to see with it!

A: Anything? New Pegas, Ashes, Burned Feathers, Second Wind, Wild Wasteland, Echoes of Chaos, Heroes, Project Horizons, and vanilla all come to mind.
B: I can't remember the partysplosions off of the top of my head, but I definitely remember tasty snackcakes!
C: Ooooh.

A: As for those, I can't really say if there would ever be any crossovers, seeing how Merchants of Hope ended up! There are characters from the story that are being carried into The Long Winter though from Sawyer's requests, so some of them will in a sense crossover into there! As for other stories, I referenced most of those in the story at some point, but I would love to see them reference my story! (although I'm not sure how...)
Oh, there will be such glorious partysplosions!
B: Well, if it's those kinds of partysplosions, I can garunte you'll like where Better Days is going! As a bit of a sneak peak, I'm adding in a new character who may or may not be tiny and innocent with sharp poppers on her arms. And She may or may not at one point run into a old MoM partyhouse full of still usefull party supplies!

Just still haven't gotten around to it. "As for other stories, I referenced most of those in the story at some point" - Which was coolbeans. I do think I remember catching some to PH and Second Wind, though if I specifically wanted to note references, I'd probably have to re-read searching for them.

E: The easiest way to deal with infinite butts is to use the simple Recursive Butt! Though I guess it'd be more like Recursive Haunches or something since it'd have to include the side of the rump as well. Just have a haunch with a cutie mark of a butt with a cutie mark of a butt...
"Any certain butts?" Eh, not really. o.o I mean I've already paid for pictures of Pinkiebutt before, which is pretty similar to 42butt I'd imagine. And Backlash butt might cause lashing! Or. Something! I guess griffonbutts are healthy too. And stuff.

Well, I really liked the innocence Puppy Smiles brought to Pink Eyes, and thought 'all my characters are used to how bad the wasteland is'. So I made this character a complete stranger to it, so her curiosity should get the party into quite a few pickles.
