News on Merchants of Hope 18 · 6:04am Oct 14th, 2013
I am happy to report that after 3 solid days of writing, I have finished the chapter! I pushed a lot of oddity into this chapter, both to hopefully lighten it up a bit again, and to use it to resolve some issues I've been seeing. I also would like to point out that even though this is the point I would normally start work on the next Better Days chapter, I most likely won't be putting one out until MoH 19 is out. The reasons for this are two fold. One, is that I just put out three chapters of it, and don't want to creatively drain anything from the story, and Two is that I am going to be buckling down to helping Digital Ink with The Long Winter. So I will be back to it after a few days of rest and light work with Digital, and you can expect an update on MoH 19 around that time.
One last thing before I go, is for all the Merchants of Hope readers out there wondering just exactly what the party cannon looks like. Well, using my rudimentary (I.E. horrid) drawing skills, I sketched it and colored up a simple reference for it! And here you are:

I like to maintain an explanation to these things in the story as: "Because Pinkie Pie".
To be honest, it's hard to explain how something works when it has no moving parts and just shoots a cannon ball from it.
