TheVClaw

I'm a shameless neckbeard who has a knack for writing a LOT of smut. I have an Official Patreon page (Patreon.com/TheVClaw), and I also take commissions to help support myself as a freelance writer.

First post in 2024 -- Technical Difficulties

Hey, guys! I know its been a while since I made a blogpost, but I've been preoccupied with writing out commissions to keep up with bills. I also recently moved to a new place (dont worry, this one was planned better than the cross-country move back in 2022), and I've been settling nicely. I've been fortunate enough to work on a new series of my own accord titled 'To Nerd A Bird,' but at the

It's my Birthday! (Also, Patreon Updates)

Hey, y'all! As of today, I'm now a whopping thirty-three years old! I know that isn't really a big deal, but it's a good enough excuse to swing by here and explain where I've been.

    Commissions Still Open

Heya guys! I finally finished a good amount of my backlog, so I'm open for commissions at the moment. My rates will be around $20 per thousand words, although it may vary depending on content or number of characters involved. I don't know how many projects I'll be open to accept, but I'll likely delete this blogpost when I have enough to handle. Until then, please feel free to contact me though

Wow, Where Do I Begin? · 5:38am Sep 17th, 2013

First off, I realized that as of last night (or very early this morning, whichever you may see it), my story Brushed Away has been added to the LGBT group! Seeing how many members that page has, in relation to how many stories are placed there, words can't really describe how awesome it is to know my work is being appreciated like this! Seriously, when I woke up this morning, did a quick check on my account before classes and saw that new update for my story, I pretty much reacted like this:

(At least, I reacted like this in my head. If I actually did this in my apartment, I would probably piss off a few of my neighbors)

If Krass McWriter is reading this, thank you so much for adding my story. I'm really glad that you liked it, and I'm especially happy to see it getting more attention through the group. If we ever meet in person, I would gladly buy you a beer.

[EDIT] I also want to thank Lady Froey as well, who told me about the LGBT group in the first place when I submitted my story on Reddit. She's also been great at commenting about my story, and I really appreciate having readers like her. Thanks a bunch!

Also, I feel I should bring up that updates to Unfamiliar Patterns might be a bit slow, especially compared to how quickly I put out chapters for Brushed Away. Even though I'm trying to get out chapters for it at a somewhat regular pace, I know I'm going to have some major delays in the future regarding getting this complete. I already know how the story will play out, and I already have most of it planned in my head; however, unlike Brushed Away, I have a LOT of things going on in my life right now that are keeping me from really focusing on writing this (school, work, paying bills, GTA 5 coming out, etc.). Despite all those things though, I just want to assure those following that this story is NOT going under hiatus or anything like that. I'm still going to write whenever I can, mostly because it's a nice way to escape the stresses of real life.

Also, I'm determined to get this story complete soon, just so I can get back to writing my next project: Brushed Away 2!

Hopefully if everything goes alright, I might get started on my sequel before winter! After all the immensely positive replies and responses to my first story (both on this site and ever), I can't wait to get back to work on this! I already know how the story will go, and I'll get right to it as soon as I finish Unfamiliar Patterns (and don't worry, this won't be nearly as long; maybe 15 chapters max), which I can hopefully complete before the end of this semester.

No giving credit to Froey introducing you to the LGBT group? (I kid) Seriously though you deserve it as I very much enjoyed the story. Take time with Brushed Away 2 if needed, better to have a story better than the first rather than rush it out.

Oh, crap! Where were my manners? Of course, I gotta give credit to you as well! Thanks for giving my story a chance back when I put it up on Reddit (seriously, a lot of people were thrown back by it at first, so your comments really brightened my day), and your many replies to chapters of my story were a great thing to look forward to! You rock!

That is awesome! You deserve to be there, TheVClaw. Your story is sweet, and it is an excellent example of the type of M/M stories that I would like to see on FimFiction. Most of the other stories in that genre are clop, last less than 5,000 words, and have no real durability to them, no pathos, no romance. Don't get me wrong, I've no problem with folks who like clop, I've been known to read a bit of it myself, but there weren't any strong stories to attach to the genre, and I won't lie, I was starting to become a little dispirited at the prospect. I was so desperate, I was about to write my own (which I actually plan on doing anyway)!

Fortunately, not long after, I discovered your wonderful story, and it gives me hope that there will be more forthcoming quality stories, like yours, for this very much neglected group. So congratulations!
