Niaeruzu

Hi! I'm some guy who flails at a keyboard and then suddenly has popular changeling fanfiction. If anybody finds out how I did it, please tell me.

    Because *ahem*

    I called it.

    I FRIGGIN' AHUBLUHBUJABBADOO CALLED IT

For those of you, who can't for the life of them remember who I am, hi, I'm Niaeruzu, and a couple of years ago, I wrote a fanfic about a changeling. It wasn't good, but it was still popular. I continued writing about changelings for a while until I had to quit because of mental issues.

    Ranty rant

Just a heads up, this blog post is mainly me complaining about how terrible my life is, so if that doesn't interest you... Uh, go do something you enjoy doing? It's not like I'm holding you hostage here, you know. Go have fun!

Planning might be a bit more wonky than I thought · 6:24pm Sep 9th, 2013

Hey guys, just making a quick blog post here to keep you up-to-date on some stuff.

Traveler's Exile is doing well! It's great to see that so many people are enjoying it. Sure, there are downvotes, but again, unless those people get off their lazy ass and explain to me what I'm doing wrong in their eyes, I'm just going to assume most of them are trolling (really, why else would all three stories get a downvote at the same time) or don't care enough about all of it to interest me, either. I also uploaded the second chapter today, but did it on low hours, so the fic didn't appear in the feature box. Also because we're not at the point where stuff is actually happening in the story yet.

Anyway, like the title says, that whole one update per week thing might get a little bit wonky. This mostly has to do with school. You see, when I said I was going to try and not kill myself at school this year, I was kinda exaggerating in a bad attempt at humour. Turns out it's not as exaggerating as I meant it to be. I'm suffering pretty badly, not because of the stress from school, but because of my own subconscious greatly amplifying said stress. It's not something I have a handle on, so there's little I can do about it. However, it's bad enough that it's actually making me physically ill, so I have to go see a doctor and probably a psychologist/psychiatrist/whatever after that to get a proper diagnosis.

I managed to write a whole chapter this week, which is pretty miraculous considering the circumstances (though I still have to edit it). Just in case, I'm giving you guys a heads up that my schedule might slip a little in the near future. It's pretty clear that I have some kind of mental condition (I used to think it was some combination of perfectionism and inferiority complex, but it's probably something different), and dealing with it is pretty much a new thing, plus I have to find out what it actually is before I can do something about it. And then there's having to get used to everything surrounding school to go with it.

You don't have to worry. I'll be fine one way or the other. This whole situation is just incredibly exhausting and aggravating, because I hate irrational thought and most of this problem stems from me being heavily influenced by my own irrational subconscious. It might cause delays in Traveler's Exile's schedule, but you guys won't notice that for a while, since I still have a slight buffer built up.

Oh, and I really have to add this: if it weren't for you guys, my week would've been a lot worse. My main method of trying to stave off that stress is taking a peek at FiMFiction and reading comments, and everyone's words and support have really helped. Thank you!

That's exactly the reason why I leave comments. To support you.
You're welcome, friend.

Good luck friend. Just remember that over 1,200 strangers on the internet have your back.

I'm honestly really stressed out with school, too, and I'll just be here with you hoping you handle it well.

I know how it is to suffer from something in your mind driving you crazy; I've had some bad panic attacks this last year. Just take care of yourself and remember, no matter where you go... there you are.

Sick from stress... I know that feel. Granted, mine was caused by... well, family, but after I eventually told them off, I started improving almost immediately. So, I guess I can't really say I know where you're at, but I at least can sympathize with that sort of stress...

Best of luck getting it sorted out. Personally, I'd advise you to avoid going the medication route, because this sort of thing can usually be resolved without it, but there are always the few who really do need the medication to balance themselves out, so, use you should probably use your own judgement there. Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon!

Ah, don't don't worry about it if your schedule gets messed up. Most of time I follow a fanfic fully aware that, more often than not, the author won't be able to stick to the posting schedule he/she's set for themselves. Really, I don't really care when it comes, just so long as it's worth reading. And if I'm already following it, then it already is. :pinkiehappy:

I don't comment much but for this I will. I honestly think this is one of the best story on the site right now. It has some great wit and well rounded characters. Keep doing the good work.

Good luck. Learning > grades > fanfiction.

Good luck.

You're a writer, mental issues come with the territory. Remember, we're worried about your sanity and the continuance of changeling fiction, not schedules.

Do you talk to your subconscious? Because mine is an absolute prick! He's always going on about breaking bones and cream gravy and bad video game references, with a ton of sex-jokes mixed in as well!
I'd make him leave if he didn't make me laugh so hard.

GO NIAERUZU. KICK THAT CONDITION'S ASS. :flutterrage:
