I just found out that a lovely British(?) Youtuber by the name of ObabScribbler did a full recording of my story Shutdown. Not only did she do a reading but she voice acted each character and put in some very atmospheric background music. It's great stuff!
Seriously, even if you don't want to listen to MY story, follow through to go to her channel and look at what else she has done, add to her views, thumb up, favorite... yada yada. Give her the attention she deserves!
Edit: While writing this I suddenly got to the part where she voices Pinkie Pie and wow, I LOVE her Pinkie voice. It's not a 100% perfect imitation, but that doesn't matter; it's that kind of voice where it COULD have been her actual voice in the show just as easily as what we got. It's just great. <3
Edit #2: And now I've heard the ending, and my own dumb story gave me feels because of the voice acting. It's funny, when I first wrote the story I never thought of it as a sadfic, but now I understand why some people were really impacted by it...
Obab is amazing. Just fantastic. I love the way Storm sounded when she did it.
And yeah, her Pinkie Pie is great.

1338262 Re:re:edit#2: Because it was originally just an exploration of a science fiction idea with ponies. So when I wrote it there may have been some concept of "loss" to the story, but... I dunno. I'm dumb?
