Traveler's Exile is here! · 7:20pm Sep 2nd, 2013
Hey everyone!
If you're reading this, then you're either following me, or you favourited Thrown Abroad and/or My Little Changeling: Friendship is Weird. Or both. Anyway, I've got some news for you:
Traveler's Exile, the third story, is here!
Yaaay! I think some of you might have a few questions, so here are my efforts to answer some of them you might have:
Why did this take so long? You're going to update this more regularly, right?
This took really long because... Well, after MLC:FiW, I wanted to finish some other stuff first. On top of that, I wasn't even halfway through planning out Traveler's Exile when I announced it, so it just took a long time. Plus, I'm terrible at planning, so there were a lot of hiccups in the schedule.
Though for this fic, I'm planning to do stuff a little bit differently. I already have a few chapters of this story done, but I won't upload them all instantly. You see, I'm starting school again, and I don't think I'll suffer a similar breakdown to last year, but just in case, I've built up a buffer. I'll be releasing a chapter every week, so this gives me some wiggle room in regards to how long I can take to write future chapters. Hopefully, this'll avoid a really long hiatus like the one MLC:FiW had.
Adventure?! What happened to Slice-of-Life?
Don't worry; the adventure tag is a technicality. While this story will have a slightly more serious vibe, it'll still feature a lot of slice-of-life-y comedy shenanigans in my usual style. This story will have a stronger underlying plot than my past stuff, and that underlying plot just so happens to necessitate an adventure tag instead of a slice-of-life one.
A new main character?! You promised us Suncloak!
Yep, this story features a new guy. Again, you don't have to worry, as Suncloak will still have a hefty role, and a large part of the story is about what influence he had. Plus, as you'll soon notice, the new protagonist is more than capable of amusing you all on his own!
Already on it!!
Woop woop!
As much as I love stories that update "as often as possible," a weekly update is preferable in many ways-- there's no sneaking doubt as to when the next chapter will show up, and the regularity makes it dependable. A little treat each weekend, etc, etc.
So, yeah. I look forward to this greatly. :D
