It's my birthday! And updates. · 6:16am Jul 26th, 2013
So... how is everyone doing? Having happy times here? Cause I've been feeling my greatest this past two weeks! I’ve been getting a flux of ideas over that time period, and I am grateful to announce that I’m back to writing. And, as of about 1 hour ago at the time of this being typed, I became 18. Yay for officially turning legal!! 
Okay, now that I’ve said that, I’ll begin by telling about movies I watched with my generous uncle. First up is Pacific Rim. This movie is just plain boss. Sure, it is absolutely non-sensible in terms of versatility of a bipedal robot design, I mean, a giant tank would most likely work better. Not to mention why they would put the cockpit inside a metal head rather than put it in the thicker, safer chest area… But I don’t want to talk about the stupid uses of their world budget. What I do want to talk about is the raw physical sense you get when these behemoths go toe to toe with equally gigantic monsters. When these Jagier ‘s (I think that’s how it’s spelt) punch the monstrous Kaiji in the face, you can’t help but let your jaw drop from the sheer ridiculousness. The collateral damage that gets inflicted on the surrounding buildings are enormous. This is the movie about giant robots vs giant monsters that has finally come true.
Next is Man of Steel, which I believe is a must watch. This guy is one of the primary reasons why I choose to watch this movie. He brings up a bunch of good points in his review and it’s non-spoiler too, so if you haven’t watched Man of Steel yet, but want to know more, then watch the video below.

Last thing I want to say for this quite lengthily blog post (I’m sorry! I promise not to bother anyone for awhile after this!), is my story updates. We have Ponying the Show, which the second chapter is in the rough draft stage and is now on a writing schedule. Then I have new stories ideas of a skyrim crossover dealing with the Dwemer civilization coming to Equestria and advancing pony technology, a side-fic of DannyJ’s Human detailing the accounts of one key alien who was only shortly mentioned, and a old fic I was working on before I changed direction. Also last of, there is a archived roleplay that could potentially turn into a clopfic, but I’m not sure if I should try turning it into a story.

I can only have memes, poetry, and ponies...Goddamn Doctor....mutter, mutter, Kill him, mutter, mutter, Eternal Night, mutter, mutter, Apocalyptic Omnicide....zzzzzzzzz! YIPE! ...Freakin online Chihuahuas....Getting under my metaphorically scarred, sleep-walking feet....Anyways....the new Superman movie, is kind of a bust...The old Supers were a lot better, and the special effects were a little lower than par. The only thing that made the movie worthwhile is the beginning, i.e. the origin story, and the weird metal moving telepathic substances introduced in the movie...just about everything else was terrible, especially the plot. Boy, don't get me started on the plot, I just can't take a relapse.... the best rating I can give 'The Man of Steel' is a 'B'...and that's on a scale of 'F-S', 'f' being lowest, 'S' being Highest.

Perhaps I only liked it because I'm a younger generation... I wouldn't know about the old superman movies because I've never seen them before. Well, except for bits and peices of 4, but I thought that superman reversing time by flying around the planet was pretty stupid. Also, I took notice that he forgot to fix all the problems he was doing as his girlfriend was sinking, thus making him basically kill off that town below the dam. Also, this superman is younger and less experienced than those is previous carnations, AND he has to go up againist trained kriptonians. I agree that the special effect were a little weak, thought. In my opinion, what stands out most is the story, while themes come in second, and last is the fighting.
1237252 ...I agree that the story is good...but the random jumps through time, backwards and forwards, with no sense of how the story was progressing...was little more than irritating. There could have been a straight sequence of events, and that would have been so much better.( or even mentioning that there was a jump),...(By the by...I'm not much older than you...Maybe a year)
...And I watched most of the old superman movies...Yes...Flying around the planet in a premise of reversing time is as dumb as fuck...but the story and the actors are pretty damn good, with a straight sequence of events, a battle scene, (although short and terribly made), and special effects that were around and above par for the age the movie/s were made in, (Which is the Early Nineties).
The new Superman, (yes I know he's younger, but bare with me), was/is quite easily banged around. It is supposed to take YEARS for Kryptonians to get used to a new solar environment, and the other kids did it in a few seconds. Superman, who's absorbed Earth's solar rays for longer and in higher concentration, should have been MUCH more powerful...not to mention they got the villain's origin story wrong as well...Yes...he was a self-proclaimed general...but he was a criminal first. More than 50 years before Kal-el was sent to earth as a baby hatchling. Wait...that's not right...Because they never went into Kryptonian birth mechanics in the ANY of the Superman stories. From the Comics to the shows in 2007-08, (Fuck it, I may be 19, but I'm an old soul), they never even mentioned the specifics into how good ol' clark kent was born. All they said was that he was born to 'The Scientist' Jer-el, (Yes, Jer-el was mentioned under 'the', which actually meant a lot more than just being the planet's top scientist...), and is wife, who died, though when and how actually varies...(DC never tells the same story twice), not to mention all the other plot holes...oh well, Dramatic Convenience all the way.... wait....D....C.... OH FUCK! I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! I WAS WRONGED!

Dramatic Convenience, huh? So I take it you read DannyJ's story? But I digress, DC isn't prevelent, the movie is logically made out from what I saw. Unless I took a closer look at a few things, there isn't anything out of bounds here that is conflicting.
Anyways, I didn't watch this movie thinking of other movies or media outlets... I just took it for was it was. I didn't really know alot about superman, and this is the first time I've ever heard of Zod.
My infantile brain saw the moving pictures and thought they were purdy, so stahp yelling at me!

I'm late, but happy birthday Holo! I would have posted sooner, but I haven't logged on in quite awhile. And Man of Steel was the one of the most anticipated movies of 2012, so I had to watch it because of it's omnipresent nature. I thought it would be a bootleg transformers, but it was pretty good. Glad you enjoyed your party.
Edit: Also, great that your story is back on track! I really miss your proof readings, but everyone has their prorities, huh? Speaking of stories, I need to write the next chapter of Pony Bound. I missed the Monday deadline.
