    Beginnings and Endings.

Hello. I still, inexplicably, get attention here. Not sure why. I don't go on Fimfiction, or write ponyfics anymore--I do however, write original fiction, yay!--or really do anything pony related. Don't consider myself a brony, though ponies are always cute, and stuff.

Yippers. I'm listening to Mountain Of Power by Grand Magus right now. Helps me get in my groove, as it is...

Well I'm not one for snacking anyway but I definitely like music when I'm writing. I think it's best when it's fast paced instrumental music too. It keeps my brain moving and encourages me to write. The lack of lyrics also helps reduce distraction. If I'm writing to lyrical music I've noticed I will occasionally stop to listen. It also helps when it fits the mood of the chapter. When I have to write something particularly sad/tragic I listen to Tarby. Especially his song Taste The Rainbow. It's lyrical but it's dark and depressing, so it helps :twilightblush:

I find that soft classical music and the occasional slice of cake enhance the experience.

I just have background noise. Usually the tv. I don't pay attention to it though, as I just need sound in general, and I tend to ignore whatever it is while I'm reading anyways. but, as long as its' there, it puts me at ease as I write. Helps make me feel like I'm not out to waste a day or anything.

I enjoy the odd snack now and then.

Sometimes I will listen to music or have a youtube video open up at the same time

I'll normally have some music playing while writing, doesn't really matter the genre.

It's amazing, that's exactly how I work. I struggle to write in complete silence.

When writing, I tend to listen to music. It doesn't really matter what music but it often influences my mood and the mood of the scene when I have music going in the background. Now, whether or not I can translate the mood of the scene into words is another matter.
as for when reading, I prefer total silence so I can concentrate on the words I am taking in. Snacks don't really make much of a difference.

I may listen to music that might fit the mood for the story but I usually just go for whatever helps me chill. As for snacks? It varies. It can go anywhere from bubblegum to a full dinner plate.

For a snack, probably popcorn and some sort of soda. Music, whatever seems fit for the genre.

I have a fine collection of Star Trek soundtracks that I outsource a lot, but it really depends on what I'm writing. With most romances I write, I usually turn to The Empire Strikes Back, or my personal collection of love songs. If a song strikes me as a part of a story, I listen to that for the story. It's usually about a theme.

Other than that, I feed on caffeine.

music, it just makes puts me in a sort of robotic, gotta get this done, state of mind. Like when I listen to daft punk.what exactly do you do, if anything at all.

Generally depends on my mood. I usually find everything distracting, but sometimes the right music will just click. So yeah.

I thrive on coffee, I know its bad for you but I really love everything about it. Its my main go-to for both cooking in the kitchen, and when I'm trying to write. It can't just be the caffeine either, because energy drinks and soda don't do it for me. Tea is good too, but only at certain times.

I usually like oreos for a snack, though I really shouldn't be eating them.

As for music, I like instrumental trance with the volume set to low. Sometimes I'll go for binaural alpha or beta wave music if I'm stuck on something. It seems to help a lot, but can get distracting at times.

A snack and a fan whirring next to my ear.

Music that fits the mood and Cheez-its. Lots and lots of Cheez-its

I usually listen to music when writing and sometimes reading, if I happen to have appropriate music on hand. I rarely ever eat and read, unless I'm reading a newspaper.

I usually have music since I am always moving, i.e. drumming my fingers, bouncing a leg, or just twitching to a beat.
I like usually drinking a nice cold glass of milk.

1292869

Ah yes a glass of 'milk' I bet you just love downing all that 'milk'.

1292909
I love milk, whole milk is the best. I like how it is thicker in texture and not all watery and weak.

I find that music is imperative in the early stages of writing, as it gives me new ideas. When getting to it, however, I like to do it in silence, only a cigarette in my lips. No snacks either.

1429551 My favoritest is neoclassical, but I have an affinity for dubstep, synthpop, futurepop, glam goth, EBM and industrial. But, to be fair, I like all genres of music. Some more than others, yes, but there's bound to be something I enjoy in every genre.

I also have a hard-on for would-be arabic themes (I call 'em that because I don't know the specific genre...) in music, such as the following:

The citar is marvelous.
