An "Unpopular" Decision · 6:32am Jun 11th, 2013
Hey, everyone. Loyal here. You might remember me as the guy who used to post 12-18k words per week, instead of half that in two to three times the period. And I kind of wanted to talk about that.
See, the thing is... well, there's no easy way to say this. Over the past few months, I've been struggling with the fandom, and some of the comments I've been seeing on my work hasn't exactly helped the problem. I guess what I'm really trying to say is...
...yeah, no, I'm just screwing with you. I got a summer job, as I mentioned in an earlier blog post, and that eats up a lot of writing time, hence the slow-down. What I'm actually writing for here is to make an announcement which some of you might not like, and some of you might love, depending on your opinions.
As of today, I'm putting Ghosts of the Past on Hiatus. And no, that isn't some 'indefinite' hiatus; it's a finite, short term thing which will end by October at the very latest. In the mean time, I will be working exclusively on From Stalliongrad With Love - thus, if I get done sooner than I am predicting, we'll be back to the main story sooner. In the meantime, if you haven't given FSWL (24, Ruirik, Sato, and I call it 'Fusswall' for short) a shot, I'd encourage you to do it. I know many of you started reading my work back in Act 1 for an adventure (or, in the case of some poor saps, romance); I know comedy probably isn't what you'd be expecting from me, but at least a few of you have commented that you enjoy it more than the main plot, so do give it a shot if you haven't. It's certainly a bit easier for me to publish on short time periods, which is the origin of this decision.
In the mean time, if you're looking for something else to read, I've got three recommendations for you (though you've probably been slapped in the face by at least two of them).
Foremost are a pair of stories which are 'canon' in the same universe as Where Loyalties Lie. If you missed my links to them at the end of at least one chapter, or you just haven't given them a proper read yet (*cough*SatoshiKyu*cough*), I strongly encourage them. They certainly make for a great adventure read to fill the gap, and I have had my hand in at least a few of the scenes in the latter story (just as 24 has been kind enough to assist me). To summarize, ils sont plus fantastique, if you'll pardon my French.
Without further ado, I give you Of Skies Long Forgotten and Snow and Shadows.
And, in keeping with the trend of stories that I have at least loosely helped edit, my next recommendation is a wonderful tale of romance, based upon its authors absolute favorite pairing.
As you can see, Ruirik is an incredibly talented individual, who not only writes a masterful tale of romance and sensuality, but also does his own art.
Wait, how did that... nevermind.
Much better. I jest, because I know Ruirik will take it in stride. And I am a brave individual to tempt fate in this way, because in addition to doing his own art, Ruirik also does pretty much all of mine, as you may have seen in my previous 'Art Attack' posts. I'm sure I'll be paying for this somehow. Seriously, though, go read F&R; I'm not usually one for romance (or "shipping"), but that is FANTASTIC.
He is quite good, isn't he?
I wish you luck with your job and hope you can begin to write in full soon enough.

I thought you were going to leave the fandom. You had me going for a second there.
'Cause if you left the fandom... then... you know... I'll kill ya.
Good luck with the summer job, man.
October cannot come soon enough, but I will happily make do with From Stalliongrad With Love for the time being,
Well, I will fourth the whole 'good luck wishing' thing, I'll even go far enough to tripple the amount.
Успехов, Удачи, Упячки вам, дорогой товарищ LL.
I'm personally very happy with that decision of yours, and I will follow your adertisment and read those stories (except maybe the romance-orientated one), or Great Leader!

I was coming here to say the same thing... just minus the killing him thing. You can't threaten the dead into writing again.
Back to reading snow and shadow i go.
Now a joke is all in good fun before you give some one, I mean myself of course, a heart attack.

Give it a try, what's the worst that could happen?
