A lot of people have been pondering over this question for a long time. Most of those people think it's the cloppers, the people that masturbate to the show; however those people are wrong. What I personally say is that the "True Dark Side" of the Brony fandom is the assholes. The assholes are the people who let every little thing that happens to the show, appears in the fandom, and just exists affect them. Those are the kind of people that don't accept the show for what it is, a young girl's show that caters to the needs of a plethora of adults. These are the kind of people that resented Twilight Sparkle becoming an Alicorn and a vast majority of them are constantly raging about Equestria Girls. The bronies that say that cloppers are ruining the fandom are probably some of the biggest hypocrites in the world. Some Bronies wish the fandom was as pure as their imagination can make it to be, these are usually the ones that preach about "Love and Tolerance" however they don't always practice what they preach. Those bronies think that everything should be the way they want it. These are the ponies that are constantly spreading the hate around the internet.

Yeah, I usually ignore the complaints and the people that say stuff is ruining mlp, listening to them would break the illusion. I do see the point in what I read above, but I still refuse to make an opinion.

I agree completely. When the news of Twilight becoming an alicorn came about, and I saw a lot of bad reactions to it, I said to myself, "What is the problem with her becoming an alicorn?". I knew it was bound to happen with three seasons going in and her learning great life long lessons in friendship. Also improving her magic tremendously through the series. I was proud of her in the Season Three finale, and she deserved it.
Next, Equestria Girls, I am willing to give it a chance, and it might really get the popularity of MLP:FIM to skyrocket. Here is only one problem I have with it, and I am a huge Spike fan, but why make him the only character not a human? I mean you have all of the Mane Six as humans, the CMC as humans, but Spike is a dog. They could have made Spike into a little boy and he could be like Twilight's little brother but a dog?! It is like they are trying to diminish his character even further. That is only beef I have with it, but otherwise I am cool with Equestria Girls, and I am looking forward to it.

I don't like Equestria Girls. I think it's a cheap way to get more money on Hasbro's part. I would have appreciated a real movie with the ponies going a on a true adventure and getting a real evil villain for once that has a backstory besides "Crrrryyyysssssssssstalsssssssss!"
I don't mind clopping. I love the fact that Twilight is an Alicorn. That's all there is to it.

Eh, I'm quite looking forward to Equestria Girls myself; and Hasbro is a business. The MLP show was created to make money for Hasbro.

1123704 How will it be proper? It's basically fanfiction. Twilight comes to the human world and get's into the high school life. She has to deal with melodrama until she's able to get the boy of her dreams and her crown back. She also meets other humans that are basically the incarnation of her friends in this new world and then gains them as friends. At least, that's what I'm assuming from the trailer.
It seems like Hasbro was looking at fanfiction and said "Hey! Look at this! I'll take this and then we'll print money! Forget a pony adventure, they obviously want a human adventure! Plenty of High School drama that nobody cares about!"
Let me tell you that I openly embrace a real movie coming out when it involves expanding the lore of Equestria and showing us other places in that world. I want to get immersed in a character driven tale of fantastic adventures with amazing subplots. I don't need more High School drama movies, there are plenty of those already existing in the world and this one doesn't add anything new to the picture except ponies. OH! I forgot to mention the end of said trailer. Apparently it looks pretty ominous and there might be an actual real evil villain besides the redhead bitch in the trailer. That's the only thing that leaves me curious, what is that green light? Is it Chrysalis coming back from Team Rocket land? I don't really know.... That's all I have to argue about...

1123682 Well, if Gilda is in it, hopefully she is another type of animal and not a human. I know I am probably overreacting about Spike being a dog in the movie, but I am just a huge Spike fan in the show, and I feel he gets mistreated and excluded too much.

What is the difference between Hasbro and the companies that own Halo, or Call of Duty or any other on going series? All these companies are doing is milkng the series. And the people who are buying the games are no better. There is no big difference between the new game and the current one but they have to buy the new one. The companies keep making meh to crap games because they know that people will still buy them. Hasbro is doing the same here. Even if it fails in theaters, I don't think Hasbro will file bankruptcy.
