WTF happened?

When I first posted The Four and One Erebi Nights the reception was less than accepting. For a time downvotes were as frequent of upvotes, for a time they even overtook them, and I cheered when they broke even at 7:7. The read count was very poor and while the few comments were quite positive, it seemed like a downer.

When I first posted The Four and One Erebi Nights the reception was less than accepting. For a time downvotes were as frequent of upvotes, for a time they even overtook them, and I cheered when they broke even at 7:7. The read count was very poor and while the few comments were quite positive, it seemed like a downer.

I posted it on explicit.ponyfictionarchive.net and it was received okay, two positive reviews, one 5/5 vote. I posted it on SoFurry and the reception was practically enthusiastic. And recently I posted it on Equestria After Dark.
Three out of these seven downvotes got reverted. Currently the story clocks +17 : -4.
