My Next Major Storyline ... is a Beast! · 11:00pm May 4th, 2013
Are you excited? Huh huh huh? 
Well, I sure am! Because I've been wrestling with this bloody stubborn story for weeks, and it finally gave up the fight and surrendered! Hah! That'll teach it to mess with me!
Incidentally this is why actual writing has been slow from me. Now that I've worked out this beast of a story, I should be able to actually start writing stuff again. Hopefully.
So what is this new story going to be, you ask? Let me tell you! It's a wondrous composition of absolute poetic beauty and romance, an unrivaled adventure and grand exploration of legends and myths ... or at least it will be once it gets a little meat on its bones and some clothes to cover its pale limbs.
Okay okay, I'll get to the point already. Geez, some ponies 
So at its heart it's a romantic adventure about Bon Bon being a bloody stubborn bastard trying to win Lyra's heart by persistently and annoyingly following her to the end of the world, even though Lyra is a bloody obsessive and secretive bastard who totally won't accept Bon Bon's aid or tell her why the hay she's suddenly in a rush to leave town without a word of goodbye.
Rainbow Dash tags along too, but she absolutely won't say why because she's a Celestia-damned secretive bastard too and probably in league with Lyra who totally paid her (which, believe her, didn't come cheap 
)
Also humans and ancient, long forgotten legends and myths from the dawn of time!
High Adventure! YEAH!
So I took an idea I had for a Lyra and Bon Bon romantic adventure involving humans (with a twist), and then I grabbed another idea about Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust, and I jammed it right into the bleeding heart of the first story and made it one rhythmical beat! Then I took a third idea about how Celestia and Luna came to control the sun and moon, and I weaved that masterfully into the bloody fabric of the musical Frankenstein that is my story. Finally I sprinkled it with some The Last Unicorn, some mild Lovecraft and some more obscure influences, some TwiDash and a little dash of Scootaloo.
Confused? How do you think I felt wrangling this beast, then? You'll get to enjoy the polished product, so don't complain. You're going to love it! 
TL;DR Adventure, Romance, Human with Lyra, Bon Bon and Rainbow Dash. Minor and mostly indirect roles for Lightning Dust, Princess Twilight and Scootaloo. Mostly Lyra and Bon Bon romance, but some long-distance TwiDash. Takes place a bit after Season 3 where Dash has completed her official training and become a Wonderbolt.
This is the plan at least. Details may change a bit, but I've got a solid outline to work with AND I managed to combine a grand total of three or four different story ideas into one, saving myself from having to write them all separately.
