Oh wow, a journal! Yippee!
*ahem*
So, yeah. My story The Prince of the Night has gone for a while without updates, and people seem to be worried. I would like to assure you that I have not given up on it, and do not plan on doing so anytime soon. Of course, some of you may not be satisfied by this, and so I think I ought to explain further.
First of all, it takes time to get each chapter done. I want to make sure that each chapter is the very best it can be, and I can't do that if I rush things.
Second of all, my pre-reader/editor and I both have personal lives which sometimes hold us back. I'd be really happy if we could both dedicate all our time to fan fiction, but that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Or ever.
Finally, I recently tried to submit this story to Equestria Daily. Unfortunately, it didn't pass for various reasons. Thus, my editor and I are currently going through the older chapters, trying to figure out how to improve it and make it worthy of EQD.
So, there you have it. I promise I'll try to get out the next chapter ASAP, but until then, I hope you can be patient for a little while longer.

I dont understand this. Why is EQD so important? Is it popularity? or maybe the satisfaction of getting it on there? eh you don't have to answer that if you dont want to.
As i said in my comment i just wanted to know whats up. Sometimes we readers are just paranoid. If your favourite T.V show was delayed for unknown reasons for a abnormal amount of time wouldn't you want to know what is up with it? Well that's how we feel, sometimes we just like to know whats going on (PLEASE DO NOT GO INTO YOUR PERSONAL LIFE! Neither i nor your readers need a specific response XD Just something small like this that explains your situation.

Thanks for the blog post. So glad that you haven't given up, the only thing worse than knowing one of the stories you liked is never going to finish, is knowing the author gave up on a brilliant idea.

1044489 Bah you dont need their approval, just because they are a big player doesnt mean they are more than just people. We the readers are just like them, except they have to be critical and judgeing with their reading, we on the other hand can read anything we want.
You just keep writing, you dont need to worry about anybody accepting or liking what you do, if you enjoy it, you should continue it.

Not in a bad way, that was my more serious side coming to play where im a bit more in tune with others emotions than usual.
