People complained a LOT more about the indirect presence of ponies thus far in the story than I thought. Honestly I did see that coming, but to a MUCH smaller extent. I foresaw people enjoying the breath of fresh air from constantly having ponies shoved down there throat like a proverbial Christmas ham having an apple and stuffing stuck in it's mouth. I mean it's a ot story, 100k to 150k words. It wont be as long as Olts my other fic, but it isn't short either. The build up I felt should be a little long by comparison to the rest. In hindsight what I would do instead in order to have won everyone over would have been to write chapter four first, then flash back to one through three from Mary being on the run some place not at all spoilery. Oh and not self edit it, because I suck with commas.

This story was an experiment, I wanted it all to be a fun litle game for the readers! In my brain everyone was guessing, "Ohmiagosh it updated! what's gonna happen?" Everyone clammers about and speculates, jeering me on and asking questions. Merlos' popularity soars!
Ka-ching! Buuuut, it didn't work out, at least 10% of folks just got upset I diverged from the norm. Most folks as usual were "Eh, it's ok" and I got a smattering of yays! So in conclusion, experiment failed, won't do it again.

It is the next chapter so don't worry it's very in depth, I even managed to make the mood a little dark, despite the story being comedy.
