I'm baaaaaaaaack! And why I've been gone. · 5:07am Feb 16th, 2013
Okay, so first of all, no, I am not dead. Second of all, my extended absence was not out of choice.
The truth of the matter is none of you have seen any updates or news from me for the past, what is it? three months or so? Around that? Anyway, the reason you haven't heard anything from me for a while is because I haven't had access to the internet for thirteen weeks. In fact, I haven't even had access to anything for thirteen weeks. Nothing. No tv, no books, no news of the outside world, no food that wasn't provided for me, nothing. In fact my separation from the free world started just a week before the primer of Season 3. I've missed an entire season of cannon and fandom pony art, fiction, games, episodes, music, and everything else, and have come back just in time to find out the single biggest fanfiction trope we have is becoming a reality.
No your probably all wondering what I was doing while the rest of you were basking in the (I'm guessing) wonders and magic of season three. Well I've been working my ass off to protect the country that made ponies in the first place. I am proud to say that after eight weeks of basic military training, (and several more spent in med hold recovering from injuries sustained from pushing my self to hard during said training, The United States Air Force has one more Brony standing amongst their ranks. It was a long and very difficult journey, but I can safely say it was worth every drop of blood, sweat, and tears it took. And it took a lot more sweat than anything.
Now that said, I'm still not quite done. While the basics are out of the way I still have to learn my Air Force Trade which brings me to where I am now. Tech school. Now I'm not going to say where I am or what job I have, to be quite honest you don't need to know, and this isn't my Airman's blog so I won't bore you with it anyway, but what I am going to say is that I have been DIEING to write since I started BMT and the only thing that was holding me back was the lack of a computer on which to write and publish. I WANT to finish Dreams of Loyalty, and I HATE that I've left you all in suspense for so long. However, as you may have guessed from reading this, I now have a computer on which I can write and publish from (even if it did take an entire paycheck and then some but hey you can't bitch about quality) and there is nothing stopping me from continuing and finishing the story you have all been waiting so patiently on.
...Except that I'm a little rusty after not writing for a quarter of a year. And I have yet to catch up on all the season three episodes. And I can't really remember where I left off on in "Dreams" so I'm going to have to read the whole thing over again to get my barrings back. And the classes here are pretty demanding so I Only really have free time on the weekends. Sometimes.
However, rest assured "Dreams of Loyalty" is BACK ON. You'll probably see one or two little warm up oneshots to get me back in fic writing form before you see chapter 11, (I thinks that's where I left of on, right?) And it will probably be a week or so before you even see those, (gotta catch up on my pony) but hopefully before season 4 shows up, this monster of a ship fic will see it's finnal concision. That is if we all survive the inpending Twipacolips today.
