So as the title says, I'm thinking of making a new story, a long one maybe. I played all the God of War games save for the new one and I got this idea while playing Gof of War 2. Basiclly, Twilight Sparkle, once a faithful student of Celestia, Goddess of the Sun and General of the NEG (National Equestrian Guards) fights the Griffions with her loyal commander Rainbow Dash and Lieutenant Pinkie Pie by her side where she battles the leader of the barbarian army, Gilda and just as Twilight is about to be killed by Gilda, she pledges her soul to Wrath, the dragon God of War and Rage.
Wrath, taking pity on the mortal unicorn, grants her the power to kill Gilda by giving her the Blades of Betrayal, long, curved sliver blades with golden handles attachedto long silver chains and the golden skull of a unicorn screaming in slient terror at the end of both handles, which are forged from the deepest, darkest parts of Tartarus itself and wrapped around her front hooves, never to be removed and wrap around her neck when not in use.
After that she is is branded as a monster, for which she goes on a rage and attacks many small cities, ending up killing her mate, Spike and their daughter, Rose Sparkle and being cursed by Zercora, now being granted the title as the Ghost of Ponyville, with her familes ashes staining her fur permentely
Damn, I'm getting ahead of myself, so yeah....new story, maybe, maybe not. Thoughts?
Also if I do make this I may need Alicorns as well as other creatures to be displayed as Gods, so you may have a free chance at bringing in your OC'S.
What do you all think?
Also just to inform you all, it won't be a crossover but will be an AU and based on the games though won't have more then half in common
I'm starting to hate crossovers now since they just skyrocket to the feature box and have little to nothing about MLP except that the characters are ponies...
But for you, I shall read it.

God of War huh? Give it a go! Sure, similar works have been done but that doesn't mean your story will be unoriginal. It's like shippping fics: each one has something that makes them special in a way... though not always. I think I'm gonna like it from your description though, even if DARK is not my usual thing.
As for an OC? I describe mine as a good guy mainly based on the Red Mage/Wizard+Blue Mage classes(I'm a 'Comment Warrior') so I'm not sure what you'd want from him.
811438 Nope, that kind of stuff is known as a "blender" crossover, where elements of each world are meshed together. That said, you would be best served by still keeping Twilight booksmart, and be sure to include her solving puzzles and stuff like the actual God of War Games as well.
As for Alicorn OC's I never created one, I knew that much when I started writing.
You lost Trixie halfway through the first paragraph, Trixie doesn't really like this idea.
Not that Trixie is saying you shouldn't write it per say, just that Trixie likely won't read it. Sound end up pleasing alot of people though if you wrote it.
Very interesting idea Inferno. Although I never played God of War, if i may admit, this is a very good concept.

Trixie's main concern really is that your premise is something that stretches any sort of logic so far just for the sake of it being like god of war means that unless you are REALLY good, everypony will be ridiculously OOC, at which point... Why do it? It just becomes ponies for the sake of having ponies in it at that point.
Trixie doesn't believe I've read any of your stories yet though, so, Trixie has no idea whether you could pull something like that off or not.
Will give you the benefit of the doubt if you do write it though.

Also... Thank you! Some reading my previous post may consider my OC description to be a bit much but the Comment Warriors have FAR 'stronger' combatants so I'm really holding back here. Besides, in some official FF games you can combine class traits so it's not really over the top either. I'm classy baby!

I've never played GoW nor read too many cross overs but this one sounds interesting and Ill have to give it a few chapters but definitely do it your dark stuff is kinda fun and interesting.
