My Little Pony Story Path Change · 7:33pm May 14th, 2024
Hello, everyone. It's been a couple of months, and I thought I'd break the silence this time. I've got a short update to provide about where I'm going with My Little Pony storytelling.
First of all, to get it out of the way, I changed my mind about that Equestria Girls reimagining I discussed at length in my previous blog post. It's cancelled for good, because I want my priorities on telling a My Little Pony story to be set on Re-Make Your Mark, my reimagining of G5's Make Your Mark above anything else. Maybe a one-shot could come to mind here and there, but besides that, I have to focus on writing this large project, because I am pretty enthusiastic about giving A New Generation the follow-up series I feel it deserved.
Anything else? Well, I mentioned before that for a villain post-Opaline, Catrina was considered as a new central antagonist, with Allura as her sidekick (meaning the removal of Twitch). But, I would actually like the arc following the Opaline Arc to focus not on dealing with a villain, but on a more personal quest... which I guess is pretty much what Tell Your Tale is doing right now. However, what I'd like to do is outright save Catrina for something much later than the personal quest, rather than have her appear working out of the heroes' lines of sight. Who it's for, time will tell.
That will be all for now, folks. I hope to eventually bring something this huge to the world of the My Little Pony fandom one day, and I can talk even more about it.
On a smaller note: The End of an Era turns 3 years old next month! I'll make a Special Story Notes Blog centered around it for the occasion!
Here be Stache Hand the Clutcher, out and about!
