Closing Petition. **It is Over** · 7:34pm March 8th
I’m making this blog post to let everyone know that I have closed the petition as of now and declaring victory.
We have gotten 50 signatures, over this week and it’s incredible that so many people have come together to support this.
However, despite my rant from my blog I posted on Tuesday, and Bradybunch getting banned. People are asking for more people to get banned, despite no longer associating with the victim and have offered an apology.
My intention wasn’t to just get rid of these jerks, but to point out the problems here on this site. Despite it happening later, the Mods did take care of the main instigator and if he does come back. He’ll hopefully think twice before pulling a stunt again.
I know there are problems, I know there are people that have caused pain and people who are in pain. We may not all have the same views, but we should at the very least respect each other’s standing as we can’t force them to change. We can give them that opportunity to change or at least accept we have different opinions and beliefs, but we shouldn’t force our views onto others and attacking them won’t make them change.
We are a community, we are bronies, We are apart of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
We need to be friends to all and if not, we can go our separate ways and do our thing. Don’t force things on people if they don’t want anything to do with it. What happened before was horrible, but we need to put this to rest now. No need drag this out any longer.
This will be my last blog post on this matter aside from my plan to discuss ideas with a moderator and hopefully get these changes implemented or at least taken into consideration.
And we'll be watching for if anyone else tries something.
The sad thing is when it comes to the basis of 'love and tolerate' in the community, it's essentially not possible for the fandom to follow this kind of path. The community is like a walking contradiction of itself. I think I remember hearing something about how 90% of the community doesn't follow anything that the show wants the world to do. Not Just the U.S. and Europe, but the world as a whole.
