As a thank-you to Feathered Hearts readers... · 8:07pm March 4th
For all the love and support I’ve gotten the last couple weeks over my blog posts on the story, I’ve decided it’s only fair to reward everyone with a new C&C chapter, which I will be starting this week. It will be sharing creative space with the next chapter of Midnight Rising, which I’m in the middle of writing as we speak, but I’ll aim to have a completed C&C draft out in three weeks, and a chapter launch in time for April 1st.
And no, despite being tempted to release a joke chapter of various stories in the past, it won’t be an April Fool’s joke. It’ll be a genuine chapter. I promised to show everyone with both custom-created maps and narration what’s going on with the greater war situation throughout the Kingdom and outside of it, so that’s what I’m going to give you. No adult content or combat planned; just stage-setting for the next phase of the story, in terms of both love and war.
So that’s the good news for Feathered Hearts readers. The bad news there is, once that’s done along with the new Midnight Rising chapter, I’ll be putting all my stories on hiatus until summer. Why? Well, because I’ve also decided it’s way past time I resume work on the second book of my long-languishing M-rated anthro novel series, Dominion Academy:
It’s sat half-finished waiting for me for years now, and it deserves my attention. The only way I’m going to make solid headway and perhaps even get it out the door is to force myself to sit down and work on it exclusively for a while, and readers of the original have been requesting more of it. So I’m going to make a push on it, borrowing some of my fimfiction prereaders who are into anthro for the purpose.
I therefore offer my readers both a thank-you, and apologies for making you wait for more after this next chapter is done. There are times I wish I could clone myself so I could work on everything at once, but in the end, I’m only one author who has multiple writing projects underway, while also still being a working stiff who has to earn money through something other than writing.
Believe me, if I could write full time, I would. But outside of my Dominion Academy series, my works can’t be monetized unless the heads of Hasbro lose their collective minds and put MLP into the public domain. Needless to say, that probably ain’t gonna happen. So in the name of making money, allow me at least one shameless plug here:
Folks who are into anthro are invited to order a hard or online copy of Dominion Academy: Orientation If you’d like to see what I can do with a purely original work. A story of sexual awakening involving an adult lioness named Kamilya Kampo (I trust readers of Firefly and Feathered Hearts recognize that name, or something very close to it?), it’s very M-rated but like all my stories, doesn’t skimp on plot or character development and touches on a lot of interesting and surprisingly topical subjects (somewhat unintentionally given I first published it ten years ago!).
Honestly, it probably needs an editing pass—check that, it definitely does at this point given how much better I am as a writer now—but give it a look if you like M-rated anthro romance series featuring varied sexual themes. It’s nowhere near as wild and crazy as Unleash the Magic, given it’s dealing with serious subjects, but should be enjoyable all the same.
Anyway, thanks for indulging me, thanks for all the support, and thanks for following my stories. Don’t worry, I’m not going to just up and disappear, but I do feel I owe it to myself to go back to working on my anthro stuff. Expect two more chapters before then; one for Midnight Rising and one for Continuation and Chronicles. And the current plan is that once we hit summer, I’ll give folks additional material of both stories before turning my attention to the start of a new Firefly story.

I'm stoked to help you write the sequel to the old standard-bearer of your anthro fur days. Not even because I particularly like anthro fur -- nor do I dislike it -- but because the story and the universe and the mix of themes is super fun. It's also weirdly nostalgic because I get the same feels reading it as I do reading Five Star Service which is how we met in the first place.

That’s a very interesting comparison. Well, given I kind of imported Kamilya into my pony verses, maybe I should bring Five Stars over in some sense into Dominion Academy!
I seriously have to read rest of your work outside of Feathered Hearts, but right now I don't even have time to read that...got into last chapter liek week or two weeks after realease

No problem. Like I told DEL, I know how life is. I’d rather you sit down and read my stuff when you’ve got the time and ability to enjoy it properly, not out of any sense of obligation.
