Hey pones, another month has come and gone, and here I am with another update! Let's get started!
No new stories to announce yet, so the calendar will look about the same as it has been this month. I'll go into a little detail about what I'm doing when I get finished with the pony stuff, so stay tuned if you care. For now, let's go over the month.
Beyond the Veil of Sleep nears its conclusion, and may very well reach it this month, we'll see. Been a wild ride on this story, so I'm excited to see us nearing the end. The same is true for Hand of the Ancients, which is just a few chapters from wrapping up. Though since it's monthly, that may take a little longer.
Of course Words of Power continues to progress, with some amazing art in every chapter. I look forward to it with great anticipation, as getting to see some of the best moments of this story translated so vividly has been a treat. I'm not supposed to play favorites, but this story definitely is.
Shattered Pentacle, the story of our favorite Unicorns as World of Darkness Mages, continues, with chapters on track to continue into a Part 3 once Part 2 is complete. The last part will probably focus more on Vampires, to throw a newly beefed-up Lyra up against some old foes, and force her to face some humanized versions of other ponies we know and love. We'll see how kind they are at that confrontation--assuming she survives to see it.
That leaves us with the same crop of monthly stories as before, which continue on my Patreon until complete. OF those, Beyond the Veil of Sleep will soon be leaving Patreon as it completes. Realistically, the others will likely continue through the rest of this year. Second String is working towards its conclusion the fastest, but Rescue Process and Family of Chaos are both just getting started.
Our first step away from ponies is with Forerunner's Child, albeit just a half-step. This one began as another story in the same world as Message in a Bottle, where space colinization is conducted with automated probes printing the recorded bodies and minds of human explorers on every colony they reach. An ancient passenger on the first FTL ship awakens on a colony of children, and must discover the truth behind their strange colony. I fell in love with this little idea, enough that I spent much of this month finishing a sequel. Only to discover I needed to split it into two books instead of one, so I'm left with two half-books I can't do anything with :( Yet. It's an ongoing effort, and I expect I'll publish these books for real as soon as I finish editing it. It's high time I put up a few stories and see how they do.
Lastly, I've been working on a light novel project. Not a story exactly, though heavy narrative elements. Interactive novel? Not exactly sure. One of those game things that's barely a video game. Still too WIP to share much about or make any promises, but I'll say it's kept me busy. Will share more as I make more progress.
If all goes well, I'd like to get the book release to Luna is a Harsh Mistress Pt 2. out this month as well. Just like with the first one, this will be a relatively small-scale publication, without a big fundraiser. I'll save that for a little later in the year, when Words of Power is finished.

Words of Power has been one of my personal fav reads in a long time, the choice to have dedicated art for each chapter was a bold one, but conveys the story in a way I've only seen in one or two other fics but even they never had the level of detail we see here. If money was not an option I'd have art for each chapter for every great fic like this!!
