Nearing 100 STBD chapters · 4:39pm February 11th
Since I’m nearing 100 chapters in “Spike the Brony Dragon” (excluding the prologue), I want to know what are your thoughts on this fanfic so far? What’s your favorite and least favorite chapters? What’s your honest opinion on David?
As for what I’m going to do to celebrate this milestone, I’ll write a chapter subtly referencing it. Plus I might do another special blog post, like a Q&A session or something. That will be decided when I post the next chapter, which hopefully won’t take as long as the previous one (Chapter 99).

Wow, a hundred chapters. That's amazing. Congrats.
I think David's doing a good job so far, helping solve problems, stopping a few problems, makes me wonder how he'll handle Chancellor Neighsay, the Pony of Shadows, during the MLP movie, as well as if they'll get involved with Camp Everfree.
And so far this fanfic is amazing, as well as him making a few things happen and stopping things from happening. I think David did great for stopping and starting a few things, especially with others that we've never knew or see before.
Maybe make a special like the Nightmare Rarity event from the comic that was rather a impressive one, just slightly changed up so it makes sense.
Hard to chose a favorite with sp many great chapters, though the story rather started weak, it developed very well.
the first few chapters were a bit 'lazy' and I did not like them, I also stopped reading it when I reached the first part of the ticket episode. I only started to continue reading it one month after I discovered it, and you may not have had a good start but you did start to improve it as time passed and I started to love it. my favorites are the Spike's Journey through Part 1 to Part 3 and The Character for David, I like him and I think his very intelligent, in my opinion, he's maybe the smartest of the main six. I don't know why but he still feels mysterious in some way, even thou we kinda interact with him in every chapter we read.
and also, congratulations on a hundred chapters and your dedication to rewriting the entire mlp series.
I'm just going to be honest I think the fluttershy romance is a bit silly, considering he's in the body of a child
Imma be honest I'm not caught up, from what I've read it's clear that you put a lot into your writing, I don't have a definite favorite but most of the ones that were just majorly slice of life were great
I have not once lost interest in this story since its conceptualization. It's different from the usual stuff anyone would find on FiMFiction, and the fact you're nearing 100 chapters, major congratulations!
Edit: I don't really have a favorite chapter, but the fact that Starlight got redeemed before she met the mane six, it's one of the more recognizable moments in this story, at least to me.
My least favorite, I honestly couldn't tell, because I don't know what it'd be.
Since it's the 100th chapter, besides the prologue, it's time for the Crystalling. Make it really special.

Aren't the comics like mostly non-canon because its revealed they're actually written by Spike, presumably a combination of slice-of-life stories & fanfiction?
I don't think implementing "big and crazy" comic events like the "Nightmare Rarity" arc as actual events in the show canon would be a good idea. But that's just my opinion.

True, but a few are pretty good stories that if slightly changed up will make great additions.
David always wins, he never suffers for anything he does. His lies are never found out nor punished. He rarely struggles and everyone agrees with him. I have many problems with this fanfiction, but chiefly among them is the fact nothing bad has ever happened to him, the plot is just MLP's plot but David swoops in to save everything. Barely anything is done with the premise other than getting rid of all conflict, even introducing a replacement in "Tyke" (Likely meant to be witty but it just comes off as lazy.)
Please just do something other than retell FiM, introduce a problem nonexistent in the show, have something David fails to stop, have the mane six find out about his secret and feel betrayed. (They WOULD feel betrayed since David walked around in their missing or potentially dead friend's skin and didn't tell ANYONE AT ALL which beyond sick.) It's gotten to the point where the story is so agonizingly boring that it's painful to read.
It would be fine if you had fun writing but it's basically transcript at this point so I can barely even believe you enjoyed making it. Introduce a new character that isn't a carbon copy of another or something just change it from FiM other than "David knows the show so he can fix it" it's not realistic that he can solve every problem no matter what.
I hate the term Mary Sue but that's exactly what he is, the plot warps to fit around him, everyone loves him, he's perfect, nothing bad happens to him. You don't even have to change him even Mary Sue based stories can be fun if the plot is interesting enough.
I know you probably won't read this or acknowledge this but I beg of you just exercise some amount of creativity, not just for us readers' sake but your own as well, it's good for your brain. I've read your latest chapter you can do great things if you just try.
My favourite chapter is chapter 99, because it was the most unique yet. None of the other chapters stand out enough for me to have an opinion on them.
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t he dating Fluttershy or am I misremembering that it just doesn’t feel like it in this story. If he is then is it possible to add a few chapters where he goes on dates with her, and if he’s not then please point out the chapter that disproves this cause I really don’t remember

Yes he is dating fluttershy, and as how many dates i can remember 4. They are chapter 16, 46, 57, 79, maybe there is more but that is all i can recall.

I enjoy it a lot , this fic truly makes me feel better when i read it and is always Nice to see a notificación of a new chapter , if anithing i think that were craving more flutterspike , My favorite chapter would be chapter 68 since Spike figth againts tirek is freaking metal we have some conflicto for David overtrusting his meta knolledge and we even have some flutterspike fluf i would really like seeing some more greedzilla action that would be peak i don't think i dislike any chapter untill know the only think u could think of is being didapointed that asertive flutershy didnt interact with Spike aside from that and My personal preferences/fantasies for when we reach the end of the cannon would be 3 things 1) that dave Will stay permanently in mlp as Spike avoiding the whole it was justo a dream not dream cliché 2) flutterspike as definitivo ship in this fic and 3) (this one is puré bias) changing Spike aparece to a more draconic lean instead of the weird bully short legs of the final mlp episode (although this would be corrected anaways since Spike Will eventually grow to greedzilla aparece like gen 5).
