The moment you all have been waiting for has finally arrived. The first part of my G5 defense video series A Passionate Defense of My Little Pony: Generation 5 will be premiering on YouTube at 2:00 PM PT and 5:00 ET (which is where I am right now considering I’m on vacation). A year and a half of production, holy cow. I gave up the opportunity to write my second G5 Christmas story during the holiday season so that I could see this thing finally completed and released to you all, so I hope y’all enjoy.
Know that installments will be coming out a bit more regularly now that I’ve gotten Part 1 out the door. You will not have to wait another year for Part 2, trust me. Today we’re most likely going up against a hate video from another creator, so it’ll be up to you guys to show the algorithm which one is superior. The video is processing as we speak. I am filled with so much emotion right now that I can finally share this thing with the world. My gratitude to all of you for your patience cannot be understated.

I never realized how many people hated g5; I don't understand why there is so much hate for other gens besides g4. As someone who has been into MLP since g1, though the hate isn't new, many (not all) g4 fans seem to like to hate other gens. Maybe one day, there won't be any more hate anymore. Great video
Well I watch your video and yes there was pretty much you were right and I did feel like Josh did miss the point of the movie and he was a little bit blinded by that so did most of the Brony analysis which those are the big names of the fandom which it's pretty sad to see and there was times I just ignore it because it became old at this point of this whole hating of G5 we already got enough with Mixmaster why add more into it
I actually watched all of joshscorcher's video on the G5 movie back in the day and thought it was a mostly decent take on the movie back then, even as I disagreed with a lot of it, but now...oof. You did a pretty good job dismantling his arguments, I can't wait for how you'll take down Zaid's arguments and the many bunk arguments being made against the G5 shows.
Good work taking that review apart. Whilst I did use one idea from it in one of my stories (the hypothetical Pipp/Sunny convo was the inspiration for a conversation in one of the Rebirth of Magic stories), the majority of FOB Equestria's review is utter codswallop.
Very interesting review, I think you did a real good job of defending A New Generation, and I've come to appreciate it more. :) I've enjoyed and really liked G5 despite its flaws here and there, and it certainly doesn't deserve the hate it's been getting. I'm glad you tore that review apart, I like and respect Joshscorcher, but that was just painful to listen to. :/ A New Generation is definitely the best of G5, but I look forward to the rest of what it's going to offer. :D

I definitely agree, especially the part where he starts comparing A New Generation with Zootopia, as if those films have any similarity AT ALL. At that point, I was checked out and waiting for my suffering to end, lol.

The only similarity that can be drawn is the use of species to represent race relations-and that's where it stops. Both works have tensions between species, but Zootopia isn't in a state of Apartheid like G5 Equestria.

That’s very true. According to those people, anything that isn’t g4 is garbage. They’re just bashing G5 particularly hard since it’s set in the same universe.
