Sir Mediocre

If nobody is telling the story you want to read, then you have to tell it yourself.

    Update: Am Slow, Not Dead

I probably should have said this a few weeks ago, but I took an unintended break from rewriting things.

Translation: I burned myself out writing close to 50,000 words of mostly-original narrative over the span of two and a half months.:pinkiesick:

    Chapter 5 Revision Complete - 6 Underway

What it says on the tin. If you were waiting for Chapter 5, go read it! :flutterrage: Please. :fluttershysad:

I’m a little over halfway done with rewriting 6. Unlike with chapters 2-4, I’ve been able to salvage most of 5 and 6. A lot of the work is reframing the same events from the original version, recontextualizing it, and some of it is shortening things, trimming the fat.

Here Be A Stupid, And Almost Certainly Badly Constructed, Riddle · 6:53am Nov 29th, 2023

I am now ~3 years younger than one of my fic’s characters.

I am also ~3 years older now than one of my characters (as of the year in which the story takes place), and when I came up with that character, the disparity in our ages was less than double what it is now.

The age of one of my characters can be determined by multiplying my age by a significant number (significant to what, you must guess) and adding to it a length of time significant to one of my other characters (as of the year in which the story takes place). That same value can be determined by subtracting from one character’s age another significant number in the story.

Whoever solves that mess (including all the clues!) gets an Internet Point.* Worth exactly Zero Anything. But it might also make me smile for a few seconds.

If you already know the answer, good for you, you are friend-shaped.

*Unless it would be cheating.

I know the answer, but I cannot figure out half the things you just said
