Thanks to everyone who helped me out, really and truly, I appreciate it. I'm set for the month going onward into 2024. I lost my old home, but I closed a toxic chapter of my life and started a new one.

Cheers to everyone, happy holidays and here's to the new year!

    Finally An Apartment

Thanks to everyone of my friends help, their support, among other things, I was quick with being able to find an apartment for myself. I got extremely lucky finding a place the same day I got evicted, and was able to get things situated.

    I Need Help - Emergency

So to put it simply, I need help. Some things had been hidden from me until the very last moment, and at 5 pm on December 4th, I will be homeless unless I figure something out living situation-wise. Unfortunately, I have no way of fighting what is coming and have to resort to desperate measures, and that means swallowing my pride and asking for help.

    Story updates: Hiatuses

So as a lot of you know, I have quite a few stories under my belt, some of which are stuck in the incomplete stage and haven't been touched since Faust was in charge of G4. Naturally, this is due to a lot of things, mostly inconsistencies with my writing style evolving over time, work and stress irl, depression, and other factors that have otherwise hindered my writing.

A Long Awaited Life Update and a Review of AEC · 6:54am Nov 11th, 2023

Hello all, it's your friendly neighborhood, Dust. It's been a while since I properly sat down and provided any sort of update going on with me other than comments here and there on random stories or replies to comments on mine. I owe it to you all, the loyal followers and the stray fan to explain a few things.

Naturally, first and foremost, I've been extremely busy with IRL things. Namely working my ass off at a new job and grinding for money, most of you know how that is. Secondly, I've been so preoccupied that I haven't had much time at all to really pour into writing MLP. Seasonal depression has also taken its toll on me, limiting my productivity and essentially breaking me down over time. My ideas have been stagnant and frankly, I don't even know if what I'm writing at the moment (Vacation) and the 'sequel' to Without You, as well as What It Means, all being major projects I've poured my heart and soul into is even worth it at this point because I'm going to have people complain about not updating other stories.

To sum it all up nicely, I haven't been okay mentally in the slightest, and I'm burned out on said stories and I cannot force it. No one wants to hear complaints, however. They want updates, and so I give you one.

Aside from that, I'm doing a bit better in recent days. Working on my relationships with friends, and my girlfriend, as well as working my way through the grind to achieve the things I want most right now. Such is the way of life.

Also, as for the contests I mentioned doing, those are postponed till until further notice until I figure some things out, namely with my irl situation.

In other news, onto the review portion of this blog post, I have decided to properly review a friend's continuation of the following story: A Volatile Mixture. Yes yes, an update about that story.

And before anyone asks about Return: Tales of the Lost, no.

Linked here is the official continuation of A Volatile Mixture written by Shakespearicles, the man, the myth, the legend himself. He has been a fan of the story for a while, as have many people, but it was with him that I trusted the continuation and climax (:rainbowkiss:) of a story near and dear to my heart.

I wasn't able to finish the story, AVM, and so I have opted to change its status to canceled, with the continuation linked in the story description. For those of you who wish to read onward, AEC is the way to go.

Naturally, I've been a fan of Shakes for years and have written a few stories and tidbits with him over time, even met him in person, a great man, a great guy, and a fantastic friend.

When I asked him ages ago if he could help, he swiftly dealt out a fantastic read and I was more than happy to let him take the reigns of the storyline with some general guidance as to what I had planned for it. He produced excellent content and took control of the characters in a way that made me incredibly happy and left me satisfied by the end. It was the right decision in the end, and one I'm glad I made.

His handling was excellent, his storytelling was perfect, and the end of the story was as I envisioned as well. The scenes between my OC, Aileron, Apogee, and Delta were amazing, and the sex scenes were incredible enough that I had to go back and reread them a couple of times. It was like a good little treat tucked away in the cupboard; I wanted to go get seconds and thirds.

I had a lot imagined out for this, envisioned, even some planning documents for the whole storyline as well as a potential sequel ages ago. But as I mentioned before, IRL had gotten in the way and is still in the way. So I happily gave the reigns over to Shakes, who had provided another absolute banger of a story for the masses to read and wank off to, as they should. I admire and envy his skill as a writer, so of course I sing nothing but praise, it's rightfully due.

So to Shakes, I say thank you again for writing this and taking over for me. You provided an awesome story for people to read, and honestly, took a massive weight off of my shoulders.

I also say thank you and apologies to everyone else who had been waiting for me to update the story they've been wanting to read for so long. I say thank you for being patient and sticking with me, and I apologize because I know it isn't quite what was expected. Regardless, I want everyone to go and read his story and continuation if you haven't already, leave comments, faves, and share it with whoever you think will enjoy it.

Again, thank you all. You're truly the most valued thing we writers have, an audience to provide for and entertain, be it a heartstopping thriller, an edge-of-your-seat drama, or a filthy loin-pounding smutfic.

Happy belated Halloween and Happy Thanksgiving! The end of the year is closing in, so let's end this year on a banger, yeah?

Cheers!

Dustchu, take care of yourself first. I also struggle as Christmas approaches, it's a faff I'd rather do without. Regardless I wish you all the best.
