A writing update. What They Hope to Find is over 37k words and counting. I had to split the draft into three separate chapters just to make it less ridiculous. Still working on the next installment, though. I had another scene I wanted to add before I do my final editing routine.
Now I know it seems like I've forgotten What They Expect to Give, but I started working on it earnestly this week. It's over 4k words atm, but it's nowhere near done. I feel like it'll need at least another 6-8k before I feel like I've hit that stopping point I want.
I'd like to pull off a Hail Mary and get Eerie Lantern by Halloween, but it just feels like a tall order atm.
Actually, the Eerie update is feeling possible now. It's over 2.7k words. After I posted, I just said "screw it" and tried. I think I'm almost halfway through the chapter. I might make a push just to make that happen by the end of the month.
