Almost two weeks ago, I went up a mountain to watch the meteorite shower known as the Perseides. The stars could be seen well there, without any light pollution, and I tried to take pictures of them. A smartphone camera isn't equipped for that, though, so I could capture almost none. And one of the pictures just turned out completely black, which is the picture you can see above. When I saw that on my camera, I knew I had to share it in a blog entry here and tag "The Sky is Gone" with it.
Look at the picture and try to imagine this is what you see when you look up into the sky. Now you know how the sky looks for Silverstream.

Terrifying, isn't it? This is an actual picture I took of the nightsky when my camera failed to capture the stars, but it looks just like what you see if you close your eyes. Imagine that's what you see every time you look up at the sky. Could you take seeing that raw darkness?
