So what's Ash gonna do now? · 3:16pm Mar 25th, 2023

Go on Maury to try and find his dad?

"In the case of perpetually 10-year old Ash; Professor Oak, you ARE the father!"

Still hard to believe after nearly 3 decades, ash and Pikachu are no longer gonna be in the show. :fluttercry:

If he’s perpetually 10, does that mean perpetual child support?

The best outcome would be letting him finally grow up.

I like to think that, after all these years, we're the ones who branched off from his journey
I'm saying we're like his friends. Like how Misty and Brock separated from Ash this episode, we too have done the same. But both journeys haven't ended yet, ours or Ash's. We may only hear small tidbits from each other every now and then, and may see each other one a blue moon, but we will carry those memories in our hearts. We'll forge our own paths like Ash has done for years, maybe we too will find our ultimate goal like he has.

A shonen anime where the protag has both parents? miles, you're asking for too much. Besides, the kid's done remarkably well for himself without the deadbeat, and if Pokémon were more of a drama, the idea of him turning up after Ash becomes world champ would look a bit dubious.

I always had a theory way back in the early 2000s that ashs father was Giovanni of team rocket. That he is without a doubt his father.
1st off that is some typical anime stick so it wouldn't be to far off.
2nd. I think they only ever ever met once and even then it was brief. So they were going to to save it for later reveal.
3rd. One episode stated Ms ketchum told ash his father went to become a pokemon master. In a twisted sense, gio capturing every pokemon is in a way a master, including creating one like Mewtwo.

Well basically he's still going to continue on in his journey while Team Rocket is still behind him whatever happens to him I'm sure he can overcome anything but I'm definitely going to miss Ash and Pikachu

He can finally turn 11.

I dunno what Ash is gonna do now. But as for him being perpetually 10 for as long as some of us have been alive, I have my own theory.

Pokemon as we see it is life set inside the video game itself, in the same sense the series Reboot and Gridman are set within the confines of computers. We're seeing the stylized life and times of bits and bytes of data carrying out its programmed functions as the game runs and receives occasional/sporadic updates and system upgrades, like DLC and better graphic cards.

I don't know how widespread that theory actually is, but I'm running with it.

I haven't regularly watched Pokémon in decades but it's amazing to hear they are finally changing things up.
