Hi there. It's been awhile since you all have last heard from me, so I figured I'd post an update blog to tell you what I've been up to here.

Basically, the entire point of this blog is to officially announce that I've been working on a sequel to A Catch to Remember intermittently over the past couple of months. I decided that, were I to continue Flowing and Star's story, I would most enjoy doing it within a wider concept. As such, the story plays out more as a Romantic Adventure story than the straightforward clop of the first. There are more characters, and the narrative leans heavier into the realm of Light-hearted adventure instead of the more Slice of Life/Porn duality of the first. Those interested in seeing more of their characters and their building romance... That's the entire point of my own desires to continue writing. There'll likely still be lewd segments, but as skippable interludes. I've got a few of those already written.

Right now, it sits at a little over 35,000 words. I really hope to get the rest done soon, so you all can enjoy it!

And because I like you all, have a sneak peek excerpt;

Ponies stared--they always did, but most were familiar with the sight of Star Point showing his fishy marefriend around town. Flowing knew that Star Point himself loved it. He practically waltzed her about like a showboat, like he’d just brought in the greatest catch of all and she herself was just as pleased about it.

“Fish ‘n chips?” he asked, giving her a knowing nuzzle, as best as he could with her atop him.

“Mmm. As if you have to ask,” she replied.

Star Point chuckled, and Flowing could have sworn there was a skip in his step as his hooves crossed onto the boardwalk. They passed fish vendors, tackle stands, a gryphon selling hats (that one was an oddity to Flowing, and she really, really wished she’d had the bits to buy Star Point one). She fiddled with the fish-hook in her left ear, which she had fashioned into an earring ages ago, back when remnants from the above world were a bit rarer than they’d been when she’d met Star Point. Besides the earring, she didn’t really have much of anything to her name, and she’d been disappointed to learn how little value a fish hook actually had.

Star Point’s response had comforted her, at least, in equal parts because of its wisdom and its dorkiness. ‘A fish hook has as much value as every single fish you can catch with it,’ or some nonsense along those lines.

She really, really loved that stallion.

I'm actually excited to not only hear you're continuing Star and Flowing's story, but it'll be an actual story instead of more clop. I do like clop, but I find myself unable to read it if there's no story, or connection with the characters or world. So the fact, we're going to see (as you put it) an adventure/romance style story intrigues me greatly, and I will be on the look out for its release.

No, they're coverart sketches from the artist I'm commissioning. The same one who did the art I used for the first fic, 28GoodDays

I am glad to hear this. :pinkiehappy:

As someone who gets cover art/ art for his story commissioned regularly, I want to say that while option 3 is my favorite, option 2 looks better. 3 makes her seem sad for some reason while in 2 she appears more optimistic, and genuinely enjoying her new life.

Yeah, I settled on 2. I liked the... sense of adventure it gave off, to be abstract for a moment. It gives off a nice sense of motion. And, including the trawler superstructure in the back gives a better sense of scale.

Updates on fish story are always welcome :D

I look forward to reading this continuation of my favorite sea pony and the fisher who has caught her her heart.

fish sex 2: now with 50% less fish sex

It's really more like 80% less

why didn’t you spoiler that!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this is good news! A Catch to Remember was a damn good story, both the clop and the squeaky clean parts. A longer story with those two, even with 80% less clop, sounds great.

Yeeeeeeeeees!!! I wait it!!! Finally a new good story.
