With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

Bit of a fluff episode, but nothing I found all that objectionable.
I was wondering if they aired this too early (as in a post-redemption story) or if Misty has finally infiltrated the group properly instead of sneaking around them. She still has Opaline's locket and the drawn-on cutie mark, so it's the latter, which is nice to finally see.
Nice to see Misty helping the Mane 5 rather than trying to kidnap Sparky for once. Really does make me hopeful that we’ll see Misty joining the Mane 5 in Make Your Mark chapter 4.

I was thinking the same thing first time I saw this episode, and came to the same conclusion.
Hopefully Make Your Mark also improves in a similar matter as the shorts have been doing lately.
I was pretty surprised that Misty is with the group especially helping out so that's cool of her even though I think she's pretending because she still got that necklace thing but it's pretty refreshing her with them so once again Beggars can't be chosen
Was awesome to see Misty hanging out with the Mane 5, even if she didn't do much.
That opening was a bit worrisome. Sunny chased into an alley by several stallions in fruit costumes who demand she put them in her smoothies...?

Have to admit that this WAS a fairly enjoyable five minute story. Yeah, trying new things after getting used to favorites CAN be VERY hard, but hey, you can discover NEW favorites if you take the chance, both of which were shown quite nicely. And, yeah, glad to see Misty here at least taking a break from trying to dragon-nap Sparky. Because of that, she got a welcome break from the abuse she usually takes. Of course, she still has the communication-amulet and drawn-on fake Cutie Mark, so this is definitely more of a "taking a brief break from Opaline's usual schemes" (with possible foreshadowing to her eventually reforming [even if the latter will still take quite a while]), but all the same, it was still good to see Misty NOT getting the Wile E. Coyote treatment for once.
