Hello! Main fic just hit 300 upvotes, which makes me really happy considering it only has 16 downvotes along with making it my second most upvoted fic. It'll take roughly another hundred to become my most upvoted, but even so that's still much more than I expected it'd ever get. In celebration, I threw some shekels at someone to illustrate one of my favorite scenes (so far).
While this fic is probably what I've put most of my effort into writing, I still didn't expect it to be so well received. Around 100k wordsish I decided to set a goal of 1k upvotes before its finished. At the time, that sounded pretty absurd and I thought I'd struggle to hit even 1/4 of that. Now, at this rate, I'll probably hit the halfway point around 500k words (roughly). That is, assuming I'm consistent with my writing. I've felt recently that I've been stagnating as a writer. I don't want to come off as sounding like I'm going to drop writing entirely or that I'm losing passion for this story, because I'm not. I just have a lot of fear that I'm not going to do it as well as I think it deserves to be.
Anyway, that's enough rambling for whats supposed to be something celebratory. I'll probably do another one of these around 400 upvotes when adsc becomes my most popular fic. Thank you for reading, and I hope you have as wonderful a friday as I am.
