Hey guys! I’m currently working on a NSFW Rainbow Dash story as a collab with an artist friend of mine, but I had a question…

Would y’all be cool with me publishing sfw stuff too?

I really enjoy writing nsfw, but I also love sfw content as well. I’ve got a lot of ideas in the ole think tank, and I’ve even written out a handful of them. I know I’ve only done nsfw so far, and I’m aware most of you are here for that, but I figured I’d ask what y’all thought first.

It's actually bad for writers to do only one thing.

It's like a wood carver ONLY making wooden spoons. While yes, he will eventually become a master spoon maker, he never gains any new skills either. New skills improve his art and gives him more options and ideas that he can use down the road. Imagine if Robin Williams or Christopher Walken focused on only one aspect of their art.

If Christopher Walken only made spoons, we would never have had Weapon Of Choice.

A NSFW scene, if any, must serve the story it’s a part of. They work best after we’ve already become emotionally invested in the characters via good storytelling. Writing the plot around the clop always feels cheap and fake.
Don’t think of it as SFW or NSFW from the beginning; write a good story and give it all the ingredients it needs to be great, whatever those are.

Sometimes you read porn, only to find out you don't care about that anymore, just the story at some point. So why not cut out the first part if it's just as good?
