    Im starting a Discord server.

Hey guys. I'm starting a Discord server to connect with you guys better and chat with all of you. I'll also be able to onboard any suggestions you guys might have and run ideas past you. You will also sometimes be able to see chapters early and access cut content.

Hope to see some of you there.

What sort of Interludes do you guys want to see?

Now that the Big chapter has been released, I feel like a load has been lifted from my shoulders. I've been writing that chapter for two months and I'm glad that you all enjoyed it.

I took a week off to relax and decompress but now that I'm back to the grind and beginning to formulate plans for the next chapter, I've got some decisions to make.

    The Big One... its coming!

After nearly two months of writing, it's finally finished. ≈10700 words, more than double my previous 'longest chapter'. I could have published 4 chapters in this time. However, I promised that I would write the whole chapter in one go and so I shall deliver.

It's been a long process but my hard work has paid off and my greatest chapter yet, shall be released soon.

    Longest chapter ever!

The word count for my newest chapter has just blown past 5000 words, making it easily the longest chapter I've written. And I'm only partly through the chapter. With the things that I'm still planning to include, the chapter will likely come up to at minimum 6k words, potentially even 7k.

    So far so good

The next chapter is coming along nicely. I'm about 2.5k words in, which would ordinarily be almost done, but this chapter is going to be a long one by my standards, at least 4k words, maybe 5k.

Should i create a community Discord? (Poll) · 6:32pm Dec 4th, 2022

Would you guys like me to start a community Discord for "And so I left"?

Would it be something that you would be interested in?

You would get to interact with me more, ask me questions directly and chat with other fans. You could also get sneak previews of upcoming chapters.

I suggest reposting the poll in the end of chapter notes on the story itself as well. There are far fewer ppl that look at blogs or threads

What Newbie said, I would certainly join up for one.

I'm more here for the story, rather than picking your brain about ideas of where the story may go, or your thoughts on future chapters.
Its a new story, you're a new writer. Those things bring attention to be sure, but don't put too much into what you already have or what you may bring. Build up a bit more. A Discord made for interaction with an author with only one story that has just a handful of chapters seems a bit premature.
I'm not knocking you, what you have written so far is compelling enough for me to follow you for updates to the story. However, I've found that if an author puts too much stock into what may come and receives praise for future ideas that have yet to be published, that motivation can be lost before a finished chapter is released. Self-spoilers, I guess you could say.
Sorry if I rambled a bit. It's just I've seem authors talk about cool stuff and never actually write it because someone said the idea was good, and that confirmation meant enough that they never finished writing.

Thanks for your opinion. I probably won't make a Discord until my story is a bit more established, but this blog was more to test the waters than anything else. To gauge interest. You're right it's too early and I promise to try not to let praise ruin my future work.
