What sort of Interludes do you guys want to see? · 9:36pm February 7th
Now that the Big chapter has been released, I feel like a load has been lifted from my shoulders. I've been writing that chapter for two months and I'm glad that you all enjoyed it.
I took a week off to relax and decompress but now that I'm back to the grind and beginning to formulate plans for the next chapter, I've got some decisions to make.
Primarily: What will the next POV Interlude be?
I've had a bunch of ideas knocking around in my head and I want to hear what you guys want from the next chapters.
Such as a return to Storm Singer's POV.
A return to Silver Scroll's POV.
A POV of a random peasant who is finding all of this out from an outsider's perspective.
A POV of a noble that will give us deeper insight into the politics of Equestria.
Perhaps a combination chapter of multiple POVs listed above?
Unfortunately, a direct Celestia POV isn't in the cards at the moment. We won't find out her true feelings at least until the dust of Valley Dale has settled and Luna departs for the next leg of her journey. There are a few actions and decisions that I want Celestia to take while still under the cover of moral ambiguity.
So many possibilities, it's hard to pick a favorite.
I'd say Silver Scroll or Storm Singer's pov, but really, all of them sound great, so it is hard to choose. Try writing whichever ones you'd like to write.
I would say I wanna know more about the politics of Equestria at this point in time since that is on of the main reasons Luna made her decision to leave it all behind, some more insight into that would help us truly connect with her and help us understand why she couldn't change things despite being a royal pony, so I'm gonna say I wanna see the noble's perspective on the matter.
Tbh I wouldn't mind returning to Silver Scroll and Storm Singer's POV. What would be awesome however is to also see some kind of POV from one of the Pegasus raiders and how the death of the leader of Las Pegasus will change the city. Maybe it would be all of them from both Storm and Silver's and the Pegasus POV about this event.
I kinda wanna see what Celista is thinking, maybe her secretary walks in on her and finds out the truth?

I wanna see the same thing.

As I said in the blog, no Celestia POV for the coming future. We can observe some of her actions through the eyes of Silver Scroll but not from her directly.
Random PoVs of what life is like for characters as the ripples of Luna vanishing/abandoning the throne radiate out from the capital(can't keep that a secret forever). Life would, of course, go on without missing a beat for the vast majority, but what about those few that did look up to Luna? Are some characters going to assume that Celestia did something to get rid of Luna? Will they be openly for or against the idea? As time goes by, less PoVs looking at the missing princess situation and more remarking on the travelling mage, whether first hand accounts or rumors would be cool, too.
ill admit ive been wondering what celestia has been up to.
maybe someone from the bureaucracy, Luna may not have been appreciated but she did have duties and responsibilities especially with the current crisis that happened, seeing the chaos of her departure has on equestrian government, which would hate any change in it status quo, would be interesting to see
+1 for misc noble pov
Definitely a Silver Scroll POV. Pretty much anyone in the Everfree is my vote, if we aren't going to get a peek into Celestia's head directly just yet.
How about a servant in the palace? Being told that nobody is to go into Lunas quarters to clean as she is away on business and that the whole castle is whispering about what chaos magic is and the meeting the nobles had etc? No actual information is known, just the whispers and gossip of the castle
I think Storm Singer before Silver Scoll's POV would be good. We only got the initial chapter with her, and it would be nice to see her and the Night Guard dealing with the prolonged absence of Luna, just as their jobs are getting significantly harder. Not just in terms of more combat patrols, but in terms of increasing amounts of attention from the royal administration and the general population who are seeking anything to reassure themselves of the situation.
A surviving Valley Dale guard or civilian stuck in the rubble of a crumbling building, waiting for someone to save them but not being able to really yell because damage. The only problem with this would be to get them to actually reflect on what happened via seeing the damage and events after the fight which they haven’t gotten to get into yet because… well they were stuck under rubble for a while. I feel like this could be an interesting interlude but apart from making filler content it’d be hard to justify spending an entire chapter in rubble, or even most of a chapter. Maybe have them be stuck only for a couple of paragraphs and the rest could be them learning of the current situation and events but make the wait itself sound like hell.
Or alternatively have a Valley Dale guard patrol the rubble of the town and find a stuck Las Pegasus raider who’s severely hurt and immobilized.
Maybe this is a stupid idea after all, but I honestly just want to have a hat in the ring and I’d be happy with any choice made :D
