Anyhow, chapter 5 has about a thousand words down, and a little more plotted out. However, I'll have to take a break for a little while to hike around Yosemite National Park with my family. Won't have much writing time for the next week.

Today has been the first time I've even looked at my story since sometime in April. Sorry about that. I have my reasons, related to the fact that real life is unpredictable in the extreme. The good news for anyone interested is that I've gotten through most of the difficulties and will have a bit more time and inspiration to write.

Chapter 2 is out! Finally!

I'm interested to see how people respond to the shift in the story. The first chapter introduced the overall story arc, but within that arc there are subarcs. Chapter two is the beginning of one such arc. Maybe some people would have liked to see a continuation of the same kind of storytelling as I had before, but after a lot of thinking and advice from fellow writers I decided to take more time to really build (hopefully) meaningful characters.

Chapter 2 is 80% complete. I admit that things have been moving slower than I'd like. Real life stuff is getting in the way again. The good news is that my schedule clears up after Monday next week. So my best guess is that chapter 2 will be finished by the middle of that week.

I'm excited to get it posted. I've worked to improve some things that were bothersome in the first chapter. Plus, it will delve into the meat of the story---Luna's life.

Well, it has been a few weeks since the first post, may as well give an update. I've worked a lot to improve the first chapter. Minor changes mostly, just to improve the fluidity of the writing and improve my characteristically loose apprehension of proper grammar. It is still being reviewed, so I may yet have some corrections and improvements to make.
