Well, it has been a few weeks since the first post, may as well give an update. I've worked a lot to improve the first chapter. Minor changes mostly, just to improve the fluidity of the writing and improve my characteristically loose apprehension of proper grammar. It is still being reviewed, so I may yet have some corrections and improvements to make.
Anyways, the second chapter is coming along slowly. I am writing a little bit every day. There are some RL things that are getting in the way at the moment, but perhaps in a week or so I can devote more time to writing.
One good bit of news I can give is that I am moving the plot along at a reasonably quick pace, so this story isn't going to stretch out to occupy 20+ chapters. Who knows how long that would take to write! Since it seems the way I write doesn't work well with transitional scenes, I'm just going to jump to the most important scenes and leave the reader to "fill in the gaps" to some degree. You guys are smart, I'm sure you can do it. I think the feel of the story is more important than recording the minute details of every event, so that's how it is going to be structured.
That's all for now, thanks for reading, rating, and commenting.
