    Long Time no Update

Hey all. It goes without saying that it has been a long time since I've had any new updates. There's a lot of factors contributing to that; life, motivation, pursuing other interests. Sometimes you just need a break, even from interesting things. And I've been trying to improve my writing in the off time by working on other projects.

    Hey All!

I'm still around, and writing/revising. Things have been very busy for me though, and I don't have the time or motivation at the moment that I would really like. The good news is that I'm pretty close to finishing a chapter, but things are just kind of slow.

    Update

I'm going ahead with chapter 2 on Shadows. I have spent enough time chasing small improvements, when I should simply be writing. The cycle is write. Rewrite. Well, let's do some writing, and I'll worry about the rewrite later, eh? More important to put out a chapter now, especially one that introduces a new character and setting. Improvements and revisions can be made later after I get feedback

    Progress

In short, I have been reasonably productive these past few weeks. As you are all likely aware, I put out a new short story. It is about Big Mac and a mystical fortune telling pool, as well as some other grandiose and mystically obscure guff. That was a fun little project I wrote over a weekend. While I do not feel it represents a "great work" (nor do I feel that way about any of my work, really)

In short, I have been reasonably productive these past few weeks. As you are all likely aware, I put out a new short story. It is about Big Mac and a mystical fortune telling pool, as well as some other grandiose and mystically obscure guff. That was a fun little project I wrote over a weekend. While I do not feel it represents a "great work" (nor do I feel that way about any of my work, really) it was a great deal of fun just to write something completely over the top, steeped in fantasy tropes and so on. For what it is then, I am happy with it, even if it will not be everyone's cup of proverbial tea.

I know a while back I promised a new and fairly epic story coming soon. Well, while I had a full first chapter written at that point, I was not happy with it. I waited awhile, did some revisions, sought editors' opinions and so on. By that time, the self imposed publishing date had already past, but I simply did not like it well enough to put it out. As evidenced by my blog posts, the idea is rather old, and I think as time has gone on and I have taken so many different approaches to it, it became a little stale to my eyes. What I needed was something different and entirely new to reinvigorate my thinking process. Finally, I believe I have found that crucial element.

Still, it will be a little while before I publish anything, as this time I would like to write at least the first two chapters and have them both edited and ready before publishing the first chapter. This is known as having a buffer chapter, and might help me catch a few mistakes of the kind I made when writing Moonbound. The good news is that I am working on stuff, so just hold on for a while if you liked Moonbound or are a fan of fantasy/adventure stories in general.

Thank you for the feedback and support!
See you around,
Warm

Hey, it's you. I remember you because Moonbound was the first story I ever read on this site. It was good stuff by the way, even if it was a bit repetitive at times, but that really helped me to understand the continuity of things in the long run.

So, uh... I was wondering if you needed an editor or pre-reader by chance? Anyway, let me know.
